I wonder if the cost of steel will have an impact on any future expansion. I know that EE is being constructed but the ink was signed over 2 years ago for the project and I am sure Disney locked in a rate for what they will pay for steel. I am sure that any construction for an Indy attraction would require a lot of steel, although not as much as EE. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge on this subject could elaborate.
The price of steel right now is insane. The last numbers I heard were 60-80% over the price 2 years ago. The number one factor in this increase was China. China typically exports 50 billion in steel a year this year they imported nearly 50 billion.

What is the future outlook for steel prices? Do they anticapate lower prices any time soon?

I agree with the people who think that the show should go and a ride come in. I was at WDW for a month earlier this year and I only ever saw a line there once... and it was for the national dance competitions. :lookaroun I think that a new ride themed around whatever Indy IV will be like would be a good idea. But not with the EMVs; maybe they could come up with something similar to Spider-man at Universal (though I've never actually been there). Also, WDW really should have parking garages; knowing Disney, they could probably be themed so that they fit in perfectly. But that's just my opinion....

Come on

The show is great and all, but I've been waiting since the Indy ride came out at DL for it to show up at WDW. That would be awesome.

Go Sox!

I've always loved Universal California and always felt the balance was perfect there. Such balance in the offerings. Backdraft is awesome, a great short presentation in movie making that DS lacks. A fantastic backlot tour with "extras" like Jaws, Kong, Collapsing bridge which Disney needs to challenge. Finally a fun "kids" type ride, ET, is US equivalent, if it hasn't closed down, although a Muppet ride might be the like attraction here or how about a Monsters, Inc. "door" ride and place it in the Playhouse Disney area if room to do so.

I LOVE Indiana Jones, but the stunt show was only so/so for me. Bring on the Indy Ride, which at DL is my favorite. Change the story line a bit but what a great attraction for a part of the park not in the ToT, RnRC area. Add another stunt show/live performance show in another part of the park to eat up crowd.

So many possibilies, but improvements are needed for the whole family experince. We spent the least amount of time in our last trip to DS, because there weren't what we felt were alot of must do agains with a 5 year old. This year she'll be 6, but still don't see alot of time spent at DS as opposed to the 3 other parks.

...Unless they can't build there for some environmental reason.

That's exactly the answer in most cases. When we look at an overhead shot of the area we can see plenty of places to expand. But there are environmental issues that Disney looks at as well.

It really depends on who you listen to. My own personal feeling are that it won’t go down any time soon and even when it does it will never be at the level it was 2 years ago. The same thing has been happening to the price of lumber as well except its price increase started about 3 years ago. The price of lumber has slowly leveled off but it is still very high compared to when the price spike started.

2008/2009?? - Indiana Jones Adventure - Rumor - (5/9/05) While there is a chance that the Indy ride could still be built at the Studios, we’ve heard from a few sources that they are not planning on closing down the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Show anytime soon either to make room. Of course there is plenty of room over at Animal Kingdom where it could be given a new story. However... our sources tell us that there is still an E-Ticket attraction in development for the studios. It could be Indy, it could just be Star Tours 2 or it could be something completely new.

Any insiders got some info on the last part? That part definately got my attention. As much as I would love to see the Indiana Jones Adventure at WDW, I would definately pass it up for an original E-ticket. Thoughts?

The Indy stunt show is...OK, but I would much rather there be an attraction. The show is good, but gets old after the first time you see it. I think an attraction has staying power. People will ride it over, and over and over again..and not get bored.
