Last minute booking

So my husband will be working in the middle of the Pacific Ocean during our one-year anniversary (12/21) and Christmas this year. :( We were just talking about how we want to celebrate our anniversary since we won't be together and he mentioned a cruise. Of course, we wouldn't want to cruise with anyone other than Disney! He should be home in January and I was able to find a cruise that will work with my school schedule - 3 nights on the Disney Dream, sailing January 16th!

Here's my dilemma: DH's job doesn't allow us to plan in advance. While he should be back at the beginning of January, there's always a chance that he could get stuck out at work until later. This is why we have a hard time planning in advance.

My question is, is last-minute booking (a couple weeks out) doable on DCL? What about cancellations? If we were to book now and it became apparent a few weeks out, would we be able to cancel? Thanks, everyone!

It's doable if you aren't set on early dining or certain rooms. If you're flexible there are often some rooms left at the end. In January there probably would be.

As long as it's not concierge or a special sailing, your deposit is refundable up until 75 days before you go. So if you think you'll know by then it's not a problem.

Another option is Disney insurance. If you cancel within 75 days and it's not covered by insurance, Disney will give you a credit on another cruise. :)
