Last few days for Residential Street

The backlot tours route is modified to go next to the animation building and behind the soundstages next to the bungalows... So you get to see some new areas.

Golden Girls

Do you think we'd be lucky enough for them to throw the Golden Girls in the Golden Girl's home on residential street before they destroy it?:D

If I remember correctly- the tour used to stop here behind the Animation buildings back in the early 90's. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it used to actually load in that area. It'll be nice to see it return to this spot!

"E-Ticket Stunt Show"

Well, it went into DRC Folios, the official information that reservations, WDTC, Tours, Mail Order Merchandise and the switchboard folks use at 6:55 PM tonight. It's offical. No Osborne Lights this year, and it says that we can tell guests that an "exciting new E-Ticket stunt show" will be going into this area. We should tell guests that the lights will be back next year and that the new attraction will open in 2005. There's a list of questions and answers provided for us. The big one is to tell guests that Indy will remain, that the new attraction is a new, again, I quote here, new "E-Ticket attraction" very different from the Indy show. Call reservations and ask. It's official.

Yup... I also remember when the loading area for the backstage tour was once next to the Annimation tour. Didn't the area it's at now (with the stunt tank) used to be a separate tour, though??

Must we have more shows at the Studios? I mean, how many rides does this park have? 4, maybe 5? I want to see quality attractions as much as the next guy, but can't we do a little better here?

I mean, at one time, there were huge plans for this park... rides based off of ________ Tracy and Rodger Rabbit. Now, with Disney's backlog of titles (and not to mention Pixar's), why must we have this show, the one good, unique thing that pulls people into the Walt Disney Studios park at the DLP resort?

This seems kind of ridiculous to me. If they're putting in a new stunt show, why not use the Indiana Jones Amplitheater, tear out the current staging area and put the show in there? I think that they should have done that and then build something completly new where Residential Street was. I know they want to put an Indy ride where the Indy show is now, but it just seems silly to go through all this trouble. Oh, well.

As for Residential Street, it's was great while it lasted. Any word on if they'll be keeping any of the houses and relocating them elsewhere in the park. It just seems strage that Disney wouldn't be reusing anything from here elsewhere.

Yeah, it used to be the behind the scenes tour feat. the bee from Honey I Shrunk the Kids. I remember because I got to ride the bee. I think it was in 1990 or 91. We also left the tour to watch a taping of WCW wrestling once.

I think the reason why they're doing this is because they're going to make the Indy ride where the current Indy stunt show is now because there is baisicly no other place to put the Indy ride.

I'm not sure I follow all of this talk about an Indy ride. Has there ever been any clear evidence, or was it just something someone cooked up because they thought it would work or they wanted it to happen, and then it caught on. I don't see why there can't be two stunt shows. It's not like they're exactly the same. Movie magic (one specific movie) that varies from fight scenes to pyro in one theater, and a more specialized type of stunts, motors, in the other. I can easily see this working.
