Kevin Durant when the Thunder win the finals this year he's spotless. Well except for playing for Texas in college
The problem is that most of the sports shown are ones that the world has seen I believe. The rest of the world doesn't know or care much about the NFL
Michael Phelps. Legend and he earned it.
It's not fair to base it simply on whether there was negative publicity. At some point, anyone famous (including Walt himself) has been surrounded by negative publicity. The main basis should be on the accomplishments of said person in breaking frontiers and breaking them in all fairness. Michael Phelps did this in the Olympics, so he could easily take Lance Armstrong's spot.
I wouldn't say that Phelps is "surrounded" by bad publicity. He had one incident of drunk driving which was isolated and was almost a decade ago, and he had one instance of using drugs, but none that were performance-enhancing. I've actually heard of him, whereas I have not heard of the other two. I give them points for being female, though, but Michael Phelps has more gold metals than any other Olympian. He's broken so many records that I feel like he should be on that video. Swimming is more physically-demanding than volleyball, so I think that putting him above them is fair.Personally I think putting Michael Phelps above people like Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings isn't fair. There are so many more events for swimming than beach volleyball. Many more opportunities to get medals, whereas Misty and Kerri only got once chance the entire Olympics. Plus they aren't surrounded by negative publicity.

He's actually from right nearby where I live, so a guy who goes to my school has met him because they swim at the same club, and he's apparently just a really nice guy (and this guy who I know was honest and said he had a temper and was a bit lazy and rude to the coach, but was apologetic and great with the athletes in training). He even was willing to be interviewed for a school project this guy did and was gracious about it. So he's a great athlete and a nice guy.
I didn't even know that there was beach volleyball until the previous Olympics. Non-athlete, not a huge Olympic fan, I had to look up who those two that you were talking about even were, but I know who Michael Phelps is (but being from right nearby where he trained, I think I better know). I think just because more people have heard of Phelps Disney would be more likely to put him on the video. I think he's certainly a better candidate than, say, an NFL QB (or player, like on the original post). Don't get me wrong, the NFL is great (RAVENS) but it makes sense to put an Olympic athlete on there, especially one like Michael Phelps. For one thing, pretty much every American cheers for the American team, where football is divided. Phelps is well-known by even those who really don't follow the Olympics. He's a decent guy, and he made history. Plus, 8 gold metals in one Olympics. That's a lot. I understand that those women led their team to victory, but I think Phelps deserves more credit. Although I agree with you that swimming gets more attention and works to his advantage.Misty and Kerri are considered the greatest beach volleyball team of all time and have won 3 gold medals together (2004, 2008, 2012) and together have never lost a match in the Olympics and have only lost one set. It'd be cool to show some of the gold medal match from this past summer because they played another American team of April Ross and Jennifer Kessey.
I guess I'm just saying that Phelps gets a lot more credit because swimming is a huge part of the Olympics with so many events, and it's something everyone wants to watch whereas beach volleyball is just kind of there and is only recognized as one event. Misty and Kerri are some of the nicest people I have ever seen, at least based on their personalities on TV.
I thought Elvis was already in the film (?) I was gonna suggest Michael Jordan, but isn't he already in it as well? As much as I've seen the show, you'd think I had it memorized by now.Elvis. There was no one like him and never will be again.

I think it more has to do with the severity of the negative story. Tiger's offense was between him & his wife. Lance's, on the other hand, impacted major outcomes of an entire sport. He lied, pressed charges & other legal action against those exposing the truth, lied some more, and broke records while tainted. What Lance did was much more severe and damaging to his craft & the integrity of his sport than what Tiger did (not saying I agree either is right).Looking at that list, there's a couple more who should be taken off: Tiger Woods and Willie Nelson. Well, if we are going by negative publicity.
To me, the worst thing Lance did was how he treated other people. There are countless people out there who tried to expose Armstrong, that Lance lied about, sued, and ruined their lives. I hope he has to pay big, and do some time for what he did.I think it more has to do with the severity of the negative story. Tiger's offense was between him & his wife. Please forgive me, but I first thought of the guy who played Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
But that was Kevin Durand. My mistake.![]()
