Laboring Through with Our Magic Friends

Thanks guys er, gals, I hope so.

I know a lot of my current problems are a result of them not wanting to repair my knee tear. I am trying so hard not to baby the knee, but it doesn't make the knee feel better.

Indeed it wouldn't! I cannot believe they will not approve this and that this has gone on for so long. Unacceptable.

It was cool, but I like Disney tons better.

But of course!

Hooray for the baby!!!! Haven't had a chance to read back, anyone care to summarize the details? And link a pic if there is one??

I knew it was a girl....

Well, Bunny's water broke early Tuesday morning and Anastasia made her appearance later that afternoon. Any more detailed than that and Connor will faint again.
And, no, I don't believe Bunny has posted pics yet.

I brought the good weather back with me. :D

We appreciate that!
Oh, and by the way you would not believe what I came home too...

Oh dear. . .what?

Welcome to the Great New York State! :lookaroun

The funny thing is, if I were an inmate, in less then 24 hours I would have had an MRI done and into surgery as soon as they found the tear. When did our society decide to focus more care and concern on inmates then the billions of hard working law abiding citizens?

But of course!

Well, last Thursday (8 days ago) the poor neglected dog from next door slipped his leash (where he's pretty much kept 24/7) and ran out into the road and got killed by a car. Grant heard the whole thing and went out there and held the poor wee beast in his arms while it died. Grant was so shaken up, he told me he just held poor Rob and stroked his next and talked sweet to him...this poor thing, it was probably the first (and last) time in his life he'd been touched with kindness.

So Grant offered to help bury him the next day but the neighbor said his son (who "owned" the dog) would want to do it.

Well. As of today when I got home they stil hadn't buried him. THEY DUMPED HIM IN THEIR YARD AND LEFT HIM THERE. You would not believe the smell...Grant talked to the neighbor and the neighbor said if the kids didn't get around to it tomorrow he'd do it. Well, after the neighbor left, Grant went over there and did the job himself.

That is heartbreaking. :(

Gosh, I sorry to hear this. The poor dog. Grant has such a kind heart.
It seems that the neighbors should have been leashed up and ingnored.

I FOUND TWO PENNIES!

A clan of rabid monkeys in tutus?

Would have been much preferred!

It's been rather a stressful day...up at 4:30, got home chilled with Em, then had coffee with Grant's stepfather, then ran home and took GLory and Stewart to the vet. Looks like Stu needs oral surgery....every have one of those months where it feels like you can't catch a break?

But on a positive note...I upgraded to first class on my flights (for only 100 bucks each way) and I highly reccomend this.

Also, and this is really cool, the guy next to me on the flight down is a Disney fan and a member of these boards! Didn't swap screeen names though...didn't want to get too personal, LOL.

We've flown first class twice. (Before 911 it was fairly easy to get free upgrades. We just asked if there were openings and we got them!) First class rocks, no doubt. But $200! Yikes! I guess I'm too cheap!

Awful, isn't it? Treated in death as he was in life...like garbage. I feel guilty because I hated the way they were with him but I never did anything...I said to Grant, I bet they get a puppy within a month and I will not stand by this time.

ANd he was not a "bad" dog (and no animal "good" or "bad" deserves this). I met him once or twice and all he wanted was love and attention. Those a-words.

Um...I don't think so.

I came in 31 out of 40 on Bunny's Guessing Game.
At least I thought she was a girl. . .
How do you know that?

Sadly, I am not cheap enough...my theory was, if I'm going to blow up, at least I'll be in a comfy seat with a mimosa in my hand!

Oh, and I am so proud of me...I didn't take the Ativans the doctor prescribed. I decided to just try it without and it was fine.

Well yay for you!
Sounds like you may have almost enjoyed the flight!

Daniel!
That's a great shot!
But. . . tell me you weren't driving while shooting that!

No, worse... my mom was. This is the same person who was terrified of the Busch Gardens storms two Mondays ago, and we had horizontal rain, and obviously lightning all over the place. Boy, does she deserve that wine right now.

So, a little off-topic before the pics... today was the last day of soccer playoffs. (We came in 3rd overall.) We play 25-minute halves, and our game ran from 6 to 7:20. Normally I play defense (and it has to be left, 'cause I'm the only left-footer on the team).

So I'm currently on the sidelines talking to a teammate with 10 minutes to go.

Teammate: "Y'know, I haven't gotten a goal in a tournament yet this year."

Me: "Yeah? Well, I haven't gotten a goal yet at ALL this year."

Teammate: "About due for one now, aren't you?"

10 seconds to go. I'm on left forward right now... for some reason... and the same teammate tries putting it in, and slams into the goalie. The ball trickles maybe an inch above the goal line, and heads for the post.

*Well, the posts are kinda screwy... I'll go for it.*

So, I end up putting in my first goal of the season, within literally the very last second of it. :p

Good thing we didn't have to play any tie-breakers, 'cause those storms I kept telling everyone were coming... came.

When you get horizontal rain, it's pretty darned windy out there. About 70+ Reports of tornadoes all around, and currently there's over 150,000 without power in Detroit alone. This is strong stuff, people.

...Warning issued at 5:58! Two minutes before my game! Way to warn, Weather Network! :lookaroun

...But just 10 minutes later...

...That's about it... but here's that vid again for good measure!
