Love this review - it also answered a lot of my questions. One remaining question - how long did you wait to be seated at 8pm? I will be there on Saturday before they take reservations and would LOOOOVVVEEE to watch Illuminations from there!:sohappy:
It was only about 15 minutes but I doubt that will be the norm.

Thanks for the thorough run-down! Good stuff!

Thanks! We're really excited for our December reservation!

I wonder if Disney would consider dropping some restaurants from DDP so that they could improve their menus. You would think that having a mix would ultimately be more profitable. If the margins are so tight maybe they'll can the DDP...

Another option would be to shift the structure of the current DDP to the way it's structured in California where it's more like prepaying than it is a discount. I think they incorporate a preset voucher amount so that if you order high end then you just pay the difference out of pocket. Nobody loses money that way & there can be a better selection on each menu.

It is good news that they are taking advantage of Illuminations by providing audio and dimming the lights. Interesting that you can get in rather easily to see the show with dinner. But my guess is a more and moe people learn about this venue it will get tougher to get a table. It certainly seems like something many people will turn into a tradition.

That said, if it is popular enough, perhaps they will add more lagoon side facilities with a view of Illuminations. I keep thinking the Sydney Opera House that was once rumored would have stunning views as depicted in the unofficial artist renderings.

Great thread.

Hey all, I cant add much to Richard's amazing review, but I will tell you that I am not one for spices at all. That being said I was able to eat all of the main portions of the dish we ordered. The Flank steak was great, the chicken was good, although it had a bit of a sweet flavor to it, afterwards the heat showed up!!! The chorizos was also good and I am used to them as a few restaurants I like at home have this on their menus as well. I tasted the corn and it was REALLY Spicy!!!!! The veggies on the side werent bad but not something I'd clamor for more on. As Richard mentioned the chips are fresh made and came hot from the fryer. The corn tortillas served with the meal were fresh made and still warm. Great job overall. My thanks to Mr Debler for taking time out of his schedule to speak with Richard and I. With someone who cares about his product like that, look for some great things on the horizon for Mexico's dining options!!!! Marie
