Kraken Proceedures

Okay, a friend andI went to SeaWorld yesterday in order to try and ride Kraken 20 times in a row (other thread about it on this board). Anyway, 'due to inclement weather', the ride was shut down for a blasted 2 hours. Since my friend and I had no care to do anything else, we just chilled in the queque for those two hours. Finally, at 6:45 the ride open backed up. The four of us who were still waiting loaded in the front row and had an interesting ride experience. As Murphy's law would have it, when we got back the queque had quite a few people in it. My friend and I were still lucky enough to grab two seats and catch another ride. When we return we found another two empty seats, but when we tried to get on, they told us we could only get two rides in a row. We talked to the supervisor, who watched us wait for the two hours, and asked why we couldn't get more rides in after a two hour wait when there was nobody else jumping on. He told us 'it's a proceedure' and promptly made us go all the way back through the queque. We got back to the load platform in time for the final train of the day.

Am I the only person who thinks this is a crap proceedure thing when the park is empty? I would understand it during peak season, or when the park is crowded... but with being after closing time, they couldn't bend the rules for two guys who drove an hour just for the ride. I would like any input you guys might have.....

They usually always do this, especially if a supervisor is around. Someitimes if you get an employee that doesn't mind, they'll let you saty, but otherwise they always do this.

That's total BS!

We were there in August and rode it 5 times on the trot, without anyone questioning us.

I was wondering if you were just trying to ride the front row? Maybe they have a restriction for that? Still sounds like BS though.

It was probably to cover their butts...think about it...
A person that rides a high-intense ride over and over and over is MUCH MORE likely to develop brain damage. Trust me on this one...there is a case out there right now with a little girl that went on a coaster multiple times and it was traced back to a rollercoaster. This is the only thing that I can come up with.

Well, first off markymark's statement about trying to ride front row the whole time. Didn't happen. The first time was front, then seven, then we tried to get in row four when we got kicked out.

Freak's comment about covering their . Doubt that considering it is a Busch park. A whole group of us, myself included, went to Busch Gardens Tampa and rode Montu 20 times in a row. It got to the point all the techs were finding empty seats for us to get in so we could do it, and the line was shorter for Kraken then it was for Montu then.

It kinda es me off because I want to pull a Project on it by November, and this crap 2-Ride Rule is going to make that a lot harder then I originally thought it would.

I've ridden Kraken loads and on 2 occasions ridden without getting off twice (whats the biggest wait you've ever seen for this)

WHen I was there duirng AP previews... I rode it about 70 times in a row. I was there all day. Then a couple of moths ago, I rode it maybe 6 times in a row, without anyone saying anything.

Sea World has the Platinum AP policy where you can flash your AP and get to ride again without getting off, but I doubt that such a thing matters on an empty day.

I was at Sea World last week and did not encounter anyone enforcing this policy. But hell, when there is absolutely NO ONE at the load platform even a supervisor will probably cut a little slack.
