I don't want this to be hated by everyone on here......but once our family had a similar idea....and we thought it'd work out perfect, if Disney could get the rights to use the character in the parks. Understandably though, as I understand it, the character is not Disney.......BUT, I think Carmen Sandiego would be the PERFECT character for something like this....especially when you figure all the good that game has done teaching people about geography......just my little two cents worth anyways....it might work with Kim Possible though........I always thought Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego would have been perfect for Epcot.

This actually has been done before by other companies, but Disney's approach is innovative and child-friendly. I can see this game staying at Epcot for a long while... :lookaroun

Any idea if that whole magnificent JII redo is still a possible go despite KP being up in the old ImageWorks(though temporarily)?

The redo is still in the cards, but as we I have said before, it isn't greenlit yet. For those of you that would call it a Blue Sky project, I can tell you that it is a Blue Sky project with more than just concepts invested in it.

The Team Possible game isn't going anywhere for a couple of weeks (at least) and if it becomes extremely successful, it may stay for a while longer.

Could it be that it is a possible test for a higher level attraction based on the same concept? Tonight on french TV they showed a documentary on theme parks, and there was a visit at WDI labs. The director of development then was shown playing a Kim Possible attraction, there were some green beamlights that he had to pass through, and he was playing with his cell phone too... they said it was in development and could open in two years.

Remember the Aladdin ride at Disney Quest. They tested it publicly at Epcot years before its official opening at DQ.

It is always possible! :animwink: Disney has been known to test the market by using a simple product-but if the Team Possible game is doing well, it most likely won't be replaced.

It could very well become a permanent attraction if its successful. Its a "think out of the box" type attraction for any theme park. Plus, who doesn't like to be in their own mystery puzzle-filled action-adventure. :)

That is the plan...Disney is testing this product and if it is successful, they plan on making one for at least every resort (if not every park). That is Disney's plan.

You didn't even know about the Kim Possible work that was being planned and kept saying the work upstairs at Imagination was the start of the changes to Imagination and "big" things for the 25th in another thread.

Why are you now so certain that they are definitively planning on "making one for at least every resort (if not every park)"... seems like you are jumping the gun and making claims, once again, that you have no information on.

This is one of those moments that I wish Steve was running the version of vBulletin where you could ignore certain members because now, it would have really come in handy (along with some other times). I am going to be the better man by not confronting you on this much debated topic.

I will say that I was wrong about the upstairs work being done, but I still do not admit to saying that Imagination's redo isn't in the cards any longer, or Epcot's 25th.

For the Team Possible project, I know this because I spoke to a friend of mine that worked on the project in R&D. He told me about Disney's plan (and how it is very much like what Disney's plan for Mission:Space was). There is my answer. Pick it apart if you must...

This is the Kimmuicator or what-knot? Um.... LG must have chipped in a few bucks too.

I only say that because my sister has a phone that looks nearly like it. Just smaller buttons.

I am planning on going on Saturday to experience Team Possible for myself. I will most likely tape most of it (if it is legal to do so) and release a photo update to go along with it.

The cell phone runs on Disney's existing cellular network towers, now owned by Nextel-Sprint.

It's very easy to ignore users and this board has always had that capability.

Interesting how your "friend" just gave you this information now and not earlier when you were making all your claims about Imagination changes and 25th changes. You were still making your "Dreamfinder is returning because they are doing work upstairs" just a few of weeks ago -- Team Possible has been in the works for a couple of years. :lookaroun

Yep, thats right. Not necessarily every park, but every resort. They are going to be testing it in Anaheim next and then Tokyo. Keep in mind this was two years in the making, so there is always the possibility of it being a couple years more before something permanent comes to be if its found to be a successful project. Plus, this may be a small scale version of a much larger attraction. ;)

And you are correct: they are LG Nextel phones.
