Killer Mickey/Minnie Crocs

I'll admit, I was once one of those people who saw people walking around in Crocs thinking, "How can someone put something that hideous on their feet and walk around like a normal person?" I read all the posts on this site about how wonderful crocs were on the feet during the long hikes at WDW. That made me curious. 1st morning of our last trip we had to run (literally) into the MK for our family portraits. We were all dressed up including leather dress shoes. Don't ya know by the time our portraits were done I had not 1 but 2 blisters on my left foot that had ruptured and stung so bad I could barely stand it. By the time we made it back into the Emporium I had to take the shoe off and walk with 1 bare foot. We went right over to the Mickey crocs. Again, I looked at them reluctantly but I remembered what I read and decided I had to have something on my foot to get back to the hotel to change. So I bit back my vanity and bought them and a pair of Mickey socks. As soon as I started to walk the pain was gone. It was like walking on clouds. Loooove them. In fact, I wore my ugly crocs proudly with lots of Jibbitz for the rest of the trip. I bought my DH a pair and he is now a believer. We got both our boys a new pair, too. I love croc pics now. If you're in line and bored have everyone put a croc-foot in and snap a picture. It's a fun Disney memory! LOL!

Anywhoo, in my quest to find the right footwear for DH and my upcoming May trip sans kiddos I started searching for different styles of crocs just to see what's out there. Looky what I found! Oh yeah! These babies will be miiiiine for May!!!! I even went to our local Dillards department store and tried a pair of non-Disney ones to see how the fit would be. They're amazingly comfy!

This website actually has a huuuuge selection of all crocs, Disney crocs, and Jibbitz. I'm sharing the wealth here. I hope I'm not going to get in trouble for letting people know where to find some cool stuff.

Anywhoo, here's to croc feet! :king:

You're very welcome! I've yet to get myself a pair. If you signup for the newsletter on the Crocs site, they will send you emails with free shipping codes periodically. I love free shipping!!

Question: Do they make your feet sweat and are they better with socks or without?

I normally don't wear them with socks around town. I was always a sneakers girl when in parks. The last time I went to a park, I wore my Crocs "in park" for the first time. They started rubbing because my feet were hot w/ the rubber rubbing against them. I'd definitely consider wearing socks in the parks or at least taking some bandaids and socks just in case.

I always thought crocs were so ugly. Never gonna buy a pair of those, no way! So, everyone says how comfortable they are, blah, blah, blah. So, my foot begins to hurt, I do nothing but limp all day long to the point I am just about crying. Heel spur. Ouch. So, I break down and buy a pair of crocs - pink ones, of course. I love pink. Anyway, first day wearing these things, I am thinking how comfortable they are. My feet feel great! Then, I realize they don't HURT! No hurt, no pain. Then I am walking up and down the stairs in the house because I can. These shoes are great. And now, I recommend them to people. Next, a pair of Mickey crocs - pink ones if I can find them. :)

I saw crocs at Costco my last shopping visit they were cheap! I want to say under $22. They didn't ahve the Mickey ones but for some one who isn't sure about them $22 iss better then the more expensive Mickey ones. If you ahve a Costco membership.

CrazyforWDW1 thanks for answering the 'Fluffy' question I had no clue what they were really called and liek I said that is what my 5 yr old calls his soin our house they are Fluffy Crocs:ROFLOL:

I run our local Journeys shoe store and the mammoth crocs are IMPOSSIBLE to keep in stock. Just a FYI the liners are removable and machine washable. However I DO NOT recommend plopping them in the dryer since they are made to fit the shoe perfectly and Croc doesn't sell replacement liners if you shrink them!

Also if you have mary janes and do not like to go bare footed you can buy the socks they are making to wear with ballet flat shoes. Kind of like cotton peds.

PS my Minnie mary janes arrived today and I may not tuck them away for the trip, I might have to wear then now since they are SO comfy!

you can order them straight from crocs.com !! I am with you on the pain relief, I have a knee tracking problem that causes my knee cap to grind on the bottom of my femur if there is too much pressure when I walk. The squishy-ness (I don't think that is a word) in the heel is perfect. Ugly yet perfect.

Help!! I ordered a pair of the Mary Jane Crocs because they are pretty cute and I'm hoping they would be good for me feet. Well, the 8s are too big with socks and the 7s are too tight with socks. I plan to wear them to work with slacks, not the parks. How are they supposed to fit????:)

Yeah, still couldn't bring myself to purchase the beachy looking ones bc they are truely ugly but the MJ ones are adorable. I'm hoping they will be squishy for my feet.

I've been to the croc website, but for some reason I don't remember that many styles! I think I am going to have to sit down tonight and check it out. Wow. Maybe I can find something I can wear to work. No backless shoes allowed. And, everyone is right, the mary jane style is cute!

Just yesturday I bought a new pair for my trip coming on tuesday.
They are called Alice Suede. They are black and man do they go with ANYTHING. I tried them with jeans, dresses, short and longer skirts and shorts. They fit any style you wear! Of course these Alice ones are only designed for woman.
I just ordered a pair of the Alice style to wear at work. Do you think they're comfy enough to wear in WDW? I absolutely hate wearing sandals, so I have a hard time finding shoes to wear with capris/shorts.
