Is it just me or does everyone take WAY to many pictures on the Safari? My last trip I think I ended up with around 100 or so pictures between two trips on the safari. I have even gone so far as to tell my friend to not let me have my camera....of course that didn't last. Just want to find out if I am alone or not on my addiction.

you are absolutely not alone. I love the environment of the Safari, but its not like I've never seen some of these animals at the zoo. But yet I feel compelled to take the picture.

A couple of years ago, I took my 87 year old Grandma to WDW for her first time. I told her I pretty much wasn't going to take pics on the Safaris since I had plenty from past visits, unless she saw something she really wanted a pic of. She said, "Oh, no, don't take any on my account, etc." When the safari started, she had me take a pic of every single animal we passed. This was when I had a film camera and I used up a whole roll on the dang Safari!! Oh, well.

YEP. I don't take as many as I used to, but I am ready in certain areas - like to try and catch a lion or lioness. They know how to stay back where you can't see them..

Monty Python's "How not to be seen" for safari animals....:ROFLOL:

I find the thing with the safari as compared to other attractions is that it can look different every time you go. It's not like Peter Pan is going to be hanging out with Mr. Smee on one trip through neverland or anything but you can see different animals in different settings even riding the safari back-to-back.

I'm always taking tons of photos to get that "classic" shot of each animal. haven't got them all yet, I'm quite happy with my elephant one here but I want a lion one that I'm just as happy with...maybe next time...

It's tough, though liberating at the same time, to force myself to keep the camera in the bag.

I feel that way during fireworks. I keep wanting to take pictures, but if I do, it ruins the show because I don't appreciate the moment.

So funny. I was looking at my pictures from the last trip and thought the exact same thing. Why do I have all these pictures from the safari? Happens every trip though.:brick:

BEAUTIFUL picture, Elon. I love elephants. I am also a picture taker. I take 2 memory cards and fill them all. The good thing with using it is you can delete as you see fit. Sometimes in the resort after the day I will check them out and delete some that weren't so great. Or, I will just take them all home and not print all of them.

This is becoming our favorite park. My DH would agree that I take WAY too many pics here! Especially the gorillas, and the birds in the Oasis. I agree too, that even though the animals are the same, the views are different each time we go out. Maybe next trip I'll try to leave the camera in the bag :animwink:

My mom prohibited our family to take anymore pics on the safari seeings how we have about 1000 between the 5 of us. Well I got a Nikon D40 last summer and my sister told my mom that for me not to take pics on that ride was like telling a drug addict not to do drugs. Needless to say I took about 50 this time. This is one of my most recent pics from the safari......
