Kids on Walt's statue

Walt also signed off on the Matterhorn when people were trampling the grass between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland and using it as a "lovers lane" area.

Actually the mound of dirt (originally called Holiday Hill) was used as a picnic area which had benches and where guests were also allowed to sit on the grass. It's name was changed twice more (Lookout Mountain and then Snow Hill) before work was started on the Matterhorn.

In both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom, the Partners status is up on a stone pedestal, surrounded by plantings, a railing, and the stone bench at the center of the hub. You have to climb onto the bench, over the railing, and trample the landscaping to get to the statue.

I consider that to be disrespectful, regardless of whose statue it is. It's disrespectful to the landscapers who have to repair the plantings. It's disrespectful to everyone else who would like to take a photo of their family in FRONT of the status (like you're supposed to do). And it poses a safety risk - because the bench and railing aren't designed for this purpose.

Seeing this makes me so mad; if I saw it happening in person, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from saying something to them myself if I didn't see a CM in immediate proximity. Idiots.

Not surprised in the least bit. When I was down a few weeks ago I witnessed on two separate occasions guests standing where they shouldn't be. The first was the brick wall around the tree in Liberty Square before Festival of Fantasy. The CM politely asked 5-6 folks if they would mind stepping down, they "obliged" until she turned her back. Then they hopped right back up there and she came back and told them in a more serious tone to get down. The process occurred throughout the entire parade.

The second instance was at EPCOT in between Germany and the Outpost. While waiting for IllumiNations, a group of young girls came up about ten minutes before showtime. Instead of standing behind the rails, they jumped over it and into the grass adjacent to the lagoon. A CM saw and asked them to please come back on the promenade side of the rails. And as an honorable mention, my final night was once again at EPCOT. We were standing in Italy (one of my favorite spots for the show), but because there was a private event occurring, part of the viewing area of blocked off. Well, about halfway through the show a family (not part of the event) barges their way to the front, looks down at the rope, and proceeds to step over it. The CM runs to them and basically tells them to get the **** out. And as if that wasn't bad enough, I heard a mom tell her "prince" that if he wanted to see the show better, he could just "walk under the rope."
The only time I've ever blatantly disobeyed a CM (and I use that term loosely) was during the Friday the 13th Unleash the Villains event last year. A TON of people and myself were grouped together standing on a corner trying to watch the show, and a CM was trying to get everyone off the corner we were on and the other corner across the street. There was literally nowhere else for us to go. I leaned in and asked him where he expected us to go, and he had no answer for me. I looked around and saw we were stuck where we were and called him back over to us, and showed him our dilemma, and he said something to the tune of "Sorry, but you'll have to figure it out and get off this corner. People need this area for moving strollers around." I just smiled, thanked him, and stood my ground. Everyone around me did the same. IMO, if they needed this area cleared or for people not to be standing there, they should have had it blocked off. Yknow, kind of like the area around the Founders statue...

That's how it starts. Then, the kids are playing rap music about how tucking in your shirt is for fools, and then they're not waiting an hour after eating before swimming, and then ANARCHY.

Or they just go all Elliot Rodger because girls don't like them and daddy isn't giving them enough money.

To be fair, that was before he got into Scientology, even though he's totally not a Scientologist.

It was also before he threw away his career in an effort to make his son a star, despite the fact that Jaden Smith has about as much charisma as a bowl of boiled Brussels sprouts.
