Holy crap, that's a genius response.Thank the Empire...They Invented it....
I am more excited about Rogue One than I am for the next serialized Star Wars movie. This one actually looks like it will have an original plot, unlikeTFA, and not a re-tread of A New Hope. Which is odd, seeing how Rogue is more directly tied to the original. For me, this ranks as a solid, "Meh". My enthusiasm for 'Rogue One' is waning by the day, as I realize more and more it's just a money grab by Disney. I mean, really, does anyone want to know how the Death Star plans were stolen? If you do, more power to you. Personally, I'd rather have a new, original story played out on the big screen rather than what's being foisted upon us by Iger and his henchmen. Just imagine what could have been possible if Disney hadn't declared the original EU as verboten...
So do it where it belongs instead of a cheap PR stunt. It's cool that there doing this as a temporary thing, but anyone that's flipping out about this needs to relax. The potentially bigger information here is details on Star Wars Land.

See Cinderella Castle and SGE.Well, we are talking about Disney, the kings of the cheap PR stunt.

Oh my goodness, give me a freaking break. How some of you people sleep at night is beyond me. "Instrument of death?" Seriously? It's not a freaking swastika, it's a big ol' spaceship from one of the most beloved movies of all time.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with Epcot's direction. As someone else mentioned, they projected Mike Wazowski onto Spaceship Earth when they kicked off their #MonstrousSummer promotion. That didn't mean Monsters were taking over Epcot pavilions.
They brought in temporary projectors back when they did the video spot for Monstrous Summer 24 hours back in 2013. Here's some screen grabs from the youtube video.

I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make them permanent.
See Cinderella Castle and SGE.
This is Chapek's "Think Big for Epcot" moment: Doing an event based around one of the oldest dumb jokes about Spaceship Earth's appearance. While I think this event would be cool, I'm confused at Epcot's direction. I thought Star Wars was a DHS thing? Is everything just everywhere anymore? Will we soon be seeing Spider-Man climbing Cinderella Castle? Just weird to me.
Hopefully it will be up for a few nights. Will be there Tuesday. Its unclear if they are permanent (not likely) but they did something like this for a media event a couple of years ago tied to Monster's University. They project Mike W onto SSE.
Hopefully it will be up for a few nights. Will be there Tuesday.
It's only expected to happen for this one-time after hours event. I would not expect to see it at after that event on Monday evening.
I wonder if park guests will see this since ROE/Holiday Tag is at 9:30? Will they rush guests out backstage so they won't notice what's happening?
