I think I might wait for DVD for this one. My mom and dad don't want to see it, and I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to see it myself. I don't know R ratings are for 17 AND under or just under 17. Ofcourse, I'm seventeen, but don't know if I qualify.

If you're 17 then you can buy the ticket.

I liked it.
Wasn't great or anything, but a fun way to spend a couple hours.

Best part: Most of the audience (100 people or so) shouting along with SLJ during his "I want these --------- snakes of this --------- plane" line. Priceless.:lol:

I saw it last night and LOVED it. It has some great action, some great comedy, and it doesn't try and make itself more than it really is.

There were many times when people would clap and cheer (one of them being after Samuel L.'s famous line), which made the moviegoing experience great.

The music video at the end is great too. I got home and the first thing I did was download the song.

GO SEE IT.

Just got back a little while ago and I was very surprised. This film is MUCH funnier than you would expect. Usually you would think most of the laughs were unintentional, but I hope the director/screenwriter were smart enough to realize how this movie should be made. So either this was one of the worst directed or best directed movies I've ever seen :lol:. Either way, I enjoyed the heck out of this movie and I found myself CONSTANTLY laughing throughout. If Talladega Nights hadn't been released this year, I would say SOAP would have been the funniest film of the summer.

Too bad there was only 5 or 6 other people in the theater tonight. I have a feeling that this movie isn't going to make much at all and the 7 million on opening night would indicate that as well. And I think that is too bad. SOAP is a ton of fun and very enjoyable. Also David Koechner was a riot. Almost as funny as he was in Anchorman........and that's saying a lot.

The New York Post review has it completely right:

"The film failed to be frightening, suspenseful or dramatic but accidentally succeeded in being absolutely hilarious. The movie couldn't be more ridiculous if one of the snakes actually flew the plane while wearing a jaunty little pilot's cap and whistling at the stewardesses. But if loving "S.O.A.P." is wrong, I don't want to be right."

But I've got to go now. Remember, time is tissue ;)

If you ask me the beginning of their review is totally wrong, because Snakes on a Plane wasn't trying to be frightening, suspenseful, or dramatic. They knew what they were making, and they made it extremely awesome. Then it gets better when they acknowledge that it is indeed a great movie due to its hilarity.

Also, one of my favorite scenes can be seen in my new avatar. I couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably when I saw that part.

A+++++++++++++

What a great movie!!!

(Not great as in "Oscar-nominee" but just a great movie to laugh, cry (from laughter), and jump out of your seat!

I loved every minute of it...and I know I'll be seeing it again and can't WAIT for the DVD...That bathroom scene alone...I know I'll be playing that one over and over again :lol: (Not the mile-high club scene...the OTHER one :lol: )
