Just Back from another Magical trip full of memories

Good evening all. My family just returned from another awesome WDW vacation. We booked at the All star sports to try and save some money. Upon arrival the resort was absolutley mobed with basketball teams and our room when we went in was trashed. It looked like house keeping had forgotten to clean our room. We were so hungry with meal plan in tow decided to go eat and then speak to the manager to alert him we needed our room cleaned or maybe a move.
I went to the desk after we ate explained to Moshi a wonderful manager what had happened and he asked me to come into a side office. Once inside and he looked at my reservation and saw we have been coming for 20 years and the last 7 on the same date for my sons Birthday he said he was out of rooms and wanted to upgrade us and move us to another resort as we were set to stay for 8 nights and the resort was to be sold out with spring break basketball teams the whole time. Well I nicely asked if you are moving us would you please consider the Polynesian he said to go get our stuff and he would let us know when we got back. When we returned Moshi told us he was sending us to the Polynesian for 8 nights at the same rate we paid at the All Star and even added a quick service back to our meal plan that we used while waiting to speak with him. Our family had the greatest Disney World Vacation Ever! Props to Moshi who made 8 Days of Disney Magic!!!

That's so awesome! Was that your first time staying at the Poly? We always stay at SoG because of my mom's military discount and I really don't mind because we don't spend too much time in the room but I've always wanted to stay at Polynesian. :) Glad the manager took care of it!

Was not our first time at the Polynesian but prior we only stayed there for two nights. We were trying to do this vacation very reasonable. However The Polynesian has gained us as guests whenever we go. I've stayed at every Disney resort but from now on will not stay anywhere else. We Loved it! Where else can you sit in the pool and watch wishes?!?! At night after the parks it is so quiet and so relaxing and truly feels like being in Hawaii at Disney World. Not only did we get a little pixies dust we got it all that week. If only they would make some of the Polynesian rooms into DVC I would buy in a minute!

Wow, now that is going above and beyond! That is one of the many reasons why I love this place so much. I would have died if they told me they were upgraded us to the Poly... my dream would have come true! So glad you had a magical vacation!

That amazing! Glad you had a great time. I've never stayed at the Poly but hopefully some day I'll get a chance...it's a beautiful resort!!

What a wonderful story! You know, this is what you expect from WDW. You had a real problem and WDW made it right. Bravo! So glad it turned out to be everything and more for you and your family.

Welcome to the forums. Great post to hear about. And people say Disney doesn't pay attention to complaints. Here's a story that needs to be highlighted. Fantastic to hear you got such great treatment. And your family trip was made magical.
