Just Back and a few complaints

We use a clear, see-through, plastic backpack. We'll open our zippers, but the security guys just look at the whole thing, smile and say thank you. Takes 2 seconds.
Disney should sell clear, see-through, plastic backpacks.
But then the whole world can see my extra pair of Captain Marvel briefs I always take along with me in case of accident!

Not to mention, girls carry lots of stuff they don't necessarily need advertised to the entire world with a transparant bag. ;)

My service poodles were run over by a lazy fat person driving a scooter waving a bubble wand while waiting in a stupid security line trying to make my impossible to get reservation at BOG which by the way isn't as good as the old days.
Anyone remember when this site was a happy place to get excited about an upcoming trip or to learn something more useful than current the smell of the Splash Mountain boats ?

Agreed, but if you've ever worked in retail, most stores require all female employees to use a clear pouch for security reasons.

I agree wholeheartedly about bag check. My main complaint is them using their grubby hands to check. Why on God's green Earth are they not using gloves? Many of us carry baby bottles and other items that shouldn't be handled by strange hands. Not to mention, if I were a security guard, I'd want to protect myself against God knows what's inside some bags. Also, it'd be nice if people figured out that whole "guests without bags line" concept. That'd make it much easier.

Do you realize how much sterile puncture resistant rubber gloves are!!! Shoot hospitals buy them grudgingly, why would a park :).

I'm telling yall....that $25 for bubble wands was a great investment. They still work almost a year later and the kids love them. We bring them to the beach etc.....(for those on here that enjoy the little things in life I mean 😂)

Never saw bubble wands before until I went to WDW 2 weeks ago. Kids playing with them in open spaces (outdoors, and not in tight lines) looked like it was really fun for them.

The only thing that turned me off was when I saw a middle-aged woman with one, while she was waiting in a queue for SSE. She was aiming the bubbles at everyone else in the line, (except herself, of course) and kept this up for a few minutes. Finally, one of the guests in line asked her to please stop it, as it was getting annoying. She stopped. (Funny thing was that her 2 kids just looked at her the whole time--they never even got to play with the bubble wand at all! :hilarious: )

I think some people have lost the magic...they need some more pixie dust. I think they have some on Amazon prime right now....🤔

So by just "looking" thru the see through bag, he misses anything I have wrapped up in my sweatshirt which is in the bag?
No. If anything is questionable, they will check it. They're not dumb. We just don't have anything wrapped up. I don't care if it's "the time of month" for me. I have nothing to hide and they have never said anything. They have been thorough and we have been honest.

Yes. They can see everything. I don't care. I have no secrets. I want to have fun. I advertise everything and they have never in over a decade of use have ever said anything to me. It is no secret. I am a woman. It happens. I deal with it. They deal with it. So be it. Enough said. My teenage daughter isn't even shy about it. It's a part of life. We have a clear backpack. They are so grateful. We are so fast through security. Deal.

Bubbles cheer me up, so when I'm at the park and walk through a wall of bubbles, I feel it adds to the magic. But I can understand why some may not like it, especially that poster that got it in her contact lens. Ouch!

Anyone been to that bubble show at SeaWorld? I was up front and center and totally got blown away by a barrage of bubbles at the end. Never experienced something like that before!

Just got back from 1 days in Disney World and have a few complaints.
1. All those annoying bubble wands kids are walking around with that Disney is making $25 on is a pain. Trying to eat and bubbles are landing in food/drinks. Walking and bubbles are everywhere. But as long as Disney is making $$.
2. Bag check is getting bad. Went to MK and thru bag check at T&T and took monorail over to Epcot (Still in secured area) and had to go thru bag check again. Not a very efficient procedure. Some bag checkers were fast and some checked everything. Opening up every item (small eyeglass case) opening up see thru baggies of RX. Looking for small compartments/zippers in a small drawstring bag. A few times my family of 6 could go thru another checker with their bags and be standing there waiting for me to get finished. one bag should not take that long.

I agree on the bubbles but it's not too bothersome.
