Thanks for sharing. Do you remember any questions or themes that stood out?
Specific to yesterday, July 22 ~

Wanted to know where I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner: table service, counter service, snack stand, kiosk, food off property, food brought from home.

Inquired why I did not choose a table service restaurant for breakfast (multiple options to choose from) and lunch (multiple options to choose from, I picked “other” and explained we were at the pool.)

Asked specific questions about my table service dinner at Epcot.

Asked if I would consider eating table service for breakfast/ lunch on a future trip.

Asked if I plan to return to the TS location in Epcot.

Asked general informational questions.

Hope this helps!

They don’t want a Disney “vet”… they’re looking for “newbies”, people who aren’t going to complain about lingering problems and, of course, avoiding all large family group fights…lol
You may be right about that. I think when they see our orange AP insignia on our MB, we’re automatically rejected. Hahahahahaha.

I have received surveys for many years, multiple times, on both coasts in regards to both WDW and Disneyland.
Both in person ( exiting the Park ) and many by email.
This has been going on since 2000.

As a long term Park fan ( 40+ years at WDW ) and avid enthusiast , I have certainly given these surveys plenty of feedback in typed form.
Maybe this is why I keep getting them....Disney seems to want to hear my opinion about everything.
And I give it to them in choice words...both the positive and the mishaps.

Just had another one the other day when I was looking over some things on the official WDW website.
Many questions, but the ones that had my attention were the inquiries about my opinions on Park Reservations.
Feeling around for thoughts on if I would like / dislike expansion on that...
( guess my answer....)

Park reservations destroy any flexibility that Disney may be trying to create with other systems. We usually planned our FP+ and ADRs well in advance so I was really surprised at how much this change affected us. It’s one of those “you had to be there” kind of things.

ADRs never really locked you in to a park unless you had a breakfast reservation, which is a tiny percentage of guests. Even then you could always hop elsewhere after breakfast if you wanted, since there was no hopping restriction.

Even FP+ didn't necessarily lock you in somewhere -- we had days where our first FP wasn't until mid afternoon, especially later in the trip.

We really missed the freedom to just release whatever FP+ we had and just try for new ones at a different park. We often dropped ADRs and found different ones a day or two before.

The way Disney phrases certain questions and gives somebody the ability to take the safe path in the response. It lends itself to Disney's ability to interpret the responses in different ways.

Example: On your recent visit to EPCOT, in comparing the old and new nighttime show - which did you find more enjoyable - Harmonius or Illuminations?

Responses: A) Harmonious B) Illuminations C) I liked them both equally D) I didn't watch the show

Disney is asking a basic question. Which is better Harmonius or Illuminations? Giving somebody the safe answer of "I liked them both equally" is an easy out. But here's what happens. Let's assume these were the results:

18% Harmonius - 22% Illuminations - 28% I liked them both - 32% didn't watch.

Disney can conclude either (based on the result they are wanting to reinforce):

A) More people liked Illuminations than Harmonius

B) 63% of guests who watched the nighttime show feel Harmonius is as good if not better than Illuminations
Maybe both are valid conclusions. It's all in how the question is asked because they don't care if you didn't like either. They are comparing the 2. I would wonder why 32% didn't watch either show.

In the past, I have actually thought perhaps my survey response was read and considered. I offered a few very specific - small - suggestions for how WDW could be improved. When I returned to WDW, I was surprised those changes had been made. Of course, it is possible my suggestion had no impact at all and the changes were pure coincidence, but since they were very specific, I wondered if maybe they did.

Mind, these were all small changes like adding a menu item, nothing earth shattering.

We have gotten surveys after all our trips over the years including one for the trip last January that we cancelled and didn't even take!

We stopped and did a survey once and it was just too long imo. Maybe encourage people to take them by giving them a free individual lighting lane!
