Did they recently work on the Jungle Cruise?

A lot of the animals seemed to be moving more fluidly.

Even Trader Sam. I didn't even know he moved!

Looks like this will be just minor fixes to repair some animatronics. I wonder if WDW has something larger in the works for this ride.

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
Being of a certain vintage does not guarantee quality, and everything eventually runs its course. JC was an attraction of its time, and that was 20 years ago.

The animatronics and show scenes themselves might be a bit dated, but this ride is so contingent on the skipper that the show scenes are almost irrelevent. I think more so than a sprucing up of the animatronics, the script probably needs a re-write. Even just including some of the non-scripted jokes that cast members have come up with would do wonders for the ride.

The Jungle Cruise is a ride you can never get rid of. It needs some sprucing up, probably some better AA's and maybe some better effects, but the ride is about the comedic timing of the skipper and the overall feel of the ride. It is still by far one of my favorite rides in the entire MK. It is amazing how much bigger and immense that ride feels as a kid vs how it feels as an adult.

I only got to ride it once during my January trip (went down for rehab the day after I got there), but I'm pretty sure it was a cap gun.

Fun Fact: back in the day, they used to use the pistols as a means of signaling back to base if there was some type of emergency. There was a specific list of what a certain number of shots meant.

Sorry to hear 'bout that Jackie. You doing alright now?

Awesome.

Looks like they finally have time to add in those incredible, life-like, fluid-moving cardboard cut outs of Timon and Pumbaa as was discussed a year or so ago.

Runs away to cower.

Cheers!
