Tiki Room could be a good CG movie...or a better ToT movie than the TV version...or maybe Gift Shop The Movie....ok I've lost it

And hopefully some Adventurers Club tie-ins, since the two are linked via the suitcases that used to be in the queue area.

I can only hope............

That would be interesting. I'm not too familiar with the AC's actual story...but it would be nice if it had a central role in the film...maybe they could start the film there, we meet the characters and then they set out on their "cruise".

How could they make this into a franchise? What kind of story would allow for that?

I agree with you on that. I think not only should they have references to the ride itself, but maybe a few from other classic Adventureland attractions, such as the Enchanted Tiki Room, and the 5 water-spitting tikis that is by the entrance of the ride (or at least it is in WDW). :D
They could even incorporate the Adventureland food locations in the movie. The Jungle boat could pull up to El Pirata Y el Perico and see the sign "Temporarily Closed; Operates Seasonally."

About the origins of Jungle Cruise, I heard originally, the ride just didn't make jokes. Years later, it would be come the corny comedic adventure we know today.

Screamscape says that not only is Jungle Cruise going to be made, but Disney might remake Swiss Family Robinson, which is kind of weird, because didn't they already remake it for ABC? Any way, the website says it might be a family version of something called Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness," where they won't be in search of treasure as much as they will be in search of some type of mystical cure. It will be very interested to see how this turns out. I think it is slated to be released sometime in 2008.:D

What was the ride/attraction/show/place I mentioned to you the other day with Jungle tie-ins? The one that's not the Adventurer's Club.

Where do you guys think the movie will take place? In the ride, you seemlessly travel between three continents. For example, you travel through the Amazon in South America, the Nile in Africa, and then go through Asia. Do you think they will just pick on place, or will they actually travel to different locals?

They should do a Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, or Expedition Everest movie next! :D
I have always thought that Big Thunder Mountain would make a great movie (if you take the backstory of the mountain being taken over by spirits). I think that if they could come up with a good story line, it could be really good!

Everest might make a good movie too...

And if we can't get a CGI Yeti, than Joe Rhode can always make a guest appearance in a Bigfoot suit :lookaroun ;)

Really a tough call. I was all against POTC when it first came out thinking that they had run out of ideas...And when I finally saw it, it was more of a pirate movie that just used the name than being a movie based on it. Jungle Cruise could work, but I think they are going to make the mistake of taking themselves too seriously. And in the ride, they go to a lot of different locations....are they going to try and do that in the movie and just let it kind of go?
For every Potc there is a Country Bears. Now, about that Gift Shop movie.......

There actually is huge potential with the cheesy, campy humor of the attraction. I agree that it has potential to take itself way too seriously. It really needs to be lighthearted, look comical, but have an interesting plot. I actually think the AC is a wonderful model for it, and I think some good writing can make it work. We could easily meet Dr. Falls. Take a quest to find the elusive backside of water. etc.

This may sound weird, but I almost see it looking like Santa Clause (somewhat of a kids movie on the surface) and sounding like The Office (lots of inside jokes for adults to figure out).
