July 2011 Pre-Trip Report

Hey guys this is the first time im ever making a Pre Trip Report I have never made one before and im worried how this one will come out. If its bad its bad but i will try and do my best. Here it goes.

My trip begins on July 8th were leaving out of NY, the trip will be a party of 5 which includes Me, My Dad, My Brother, My Girlfriend and my Bestfriend. Were leaving from JFK Airport on July 8th at 6:00 AM and will land in Orlando at 8:37AM where we will be picked up by Disney Magical Express and taken to our hotel which is the Pop Century.

Its my first time staying there and look forward to it, we originally were staying the 5 of us in the Family Suite at the All Star Music but decided to switch over to Pop Century so we would be able to get the Disney Dining Plan for our 7 night stay. This saved us a TON of money since we wont have to be paying for food.

This will be mine my dad and brothers 17th trip to WDW. This will be my Bestfriends like 10th and my Girlfriends 2nd(her first in over 10 years) So as a WDW Pro i will have to show her everything which im excited about and cant wait to share this experience with here.

Our trip will begin by checking in after we land and then heading over to the MK where we will be till around 4:30PM then head off to The Polynesian for our ADR's at O'Hanna which will be our 1st time there for all of us, it was highly recommended by some family members and friends and members on here to eat there. After dinner we will head back to the MK since they have EMH to 2 AM which we are excited about.

Our Next day we will most likely head on over to Hollywood Studios morning/afternoon. And me being so afraid of Roller Coasters and Drops i might actually try and go on RNRC and TOT, for the first time in my life. But as soon as we get there we will head on over to Star Tours and try and get fast passes since the lines will probably be insane since it will only be open for about a month and a half.

Later that night we have ADR's for Wolf Gang Pucks Cafe at Downtown Disney, Its also our first time eating there and we are excited about it! After dinner we will head on over to which ever park as EMH that night or maybe just do some shopping at DTD till the night is over.

Next morning we will head on over to AK where i hope to experience Expedition Everest for the first time and get over my fear.

Im also excited to go back on Dinosaur i love that ride!! Also cant wait to go on the Kali River Rapids and the Safari two of my favorites in the AK. That night we have ADR's for Sci-Fy Drive In at HS and hopefully after will be able to catch Fantasmic at 9 PM and pray for no rain and no long line. I have not seen Fantasmic in sooo long and its one of my dad's favorite shows in WDW.

Our trip will then continue on Monday where we will head to either HS or to Epcot for the day. Either park would be fine, Probably will save Epcot for Tuesday since we have dinner reservations there and is opened till 12AM that night. We will hopefully catch up on any shows or ride we did not get to do at HS the other day when we were there. At night we have ADR's for Planet Hollywood at DTD(wasnt my choice it was my brothers haha) He had his mind set on it so i had to book it.

Tuesday we will head over to Epcot and spend the day there. Get to experience Soarin(Hopefully if i dont chicken out, Hate Heights!) Then off to Test Track and a few others then off to experience the World Showcase and have a few drinks in each Country which im soooo excited about!

We have ADR's to Tappen Edo in Japan, its also our first time eating there but looking at the menu and the pictures it reminds of Benihannas and that is why we chose to eat there. Epcot is running EMH till 12AM so i expect to go around every Country and try a drink from atleast half of them!

Wednesday we will head over to the MK and do whatever we missed on the first night or just repeat rides. Just remember we will be taking our time in the parks so my Girlfriend can fully experience everything I want this to be a memorable trip for her and first of many for us! Later in the afternoon we have ADR's for Chef Mickey at The Contemporary, My Girlfriends choice haha. We will take the Monorail over there then after dinner head back to the MK for the rest of the night!

Thursday we will head over to HS again for the day and do whatever we missed or just repeat some of our favorites again. That night we have ADR's for Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I have had Breakfast their but never Dinner, but my Bestfriend said it was good and I made sure the 5 of us each picked a night we wanted to eat at a certain restaurant then we left the other 2 open for us all to agree on dinner. After our Dinner at Boma's we will head back to HS for the rest of the night till its time for bed.

Friday our last day there :( we will have to do Laundry at our Hotel and hangout by the pool. Our flight home is not until 8:40 PM so we will have plenty of time the last day to just hangout and maybe shop and just hang around. I will be dreading this day but will enjoy my 7 night stay at the Pop Century and hopefully it you guys like this PTR i will do a Post Trip Report after.

Well Thanks for reading if any1 did and i hope you guys enjoyed it!

Sounds like a great trip planned.

We're heading down in two days :D and will be trying O'hana for the first time as well. We also have reservations at Wolfgang Puck, which we really enjoyed our meal at on our trip in 2007.

I assume you ended up getting two rooms at Pop instead of the one family suite at All Star. If you are all adults, you'll probably be more comfortable since the pull out sofa and chair/ottoman at the AS suites probably aren't too comfortable for a week's stay for adults.

Hope you are able to muster up the strength to try our some of the thrill rides! Everyone else in my family is not thrill ride family, but this trip my brother's girlfriend is going with us and like me, she enjoys them, so I'll finally have someone to go on Tower of Terror and RnR with. You should definitely try Soarin'... if heights are a concern ask to sit in the back row, which keeps you from going as high as the first rows. And just remember - they are all just rides, Disney is in the business of keeping you safe and happy!
