I'm saying they either should have put that stuff in the current post show or they should replace the garbage they have now with the stuff people actually enjoyed playing around with. We are losing the interactivity of Epcot (Wonders of Life, Horizons, the DreamPort, New Global Neighborhood in exchange for closed, sort of interactive Mission: SPACE, crappy JIIw/F postshow, and walls). I hope they bring some of it back. I love Epcot's new rides, but miss the interactivity.

It's certainly up there. I enjoyed Journey Into Your Imagination (Yeah all 3 of us), and I think that the current version is good too, but they both pale in comparison to the original. They could have updated the original attraction and been much better off, IMO. But where the pavilion really got screwed up is the Image Works. The current set up is a walk through at best and it used to be a place where you could spend 30 minutes or so.

And with the success of Buzz Lightyear, you would think they would be heading more in the direction of interactivity in the parks. Maybe they still are, but you are right about Epcot. Especially the last line. I love the current Epcot as well, but things like the M:S post show could have been done much better.

Because all this stuff is still up there do you think they will re open it? I hope. Why did they even close it.

It was closed because apparently not enough people knew it existed up there.

If anyone takes the Undiscovered Future World Tour you will get to go up there and check everything out.

I don't understand why they couldn't just put all that stuff in the current (far inferior) postshow area. It would all fit AND it would have been cheaper...so dumb.
Because the current postshow area is a big sales floor for Kodak, the attractions sponsor.

We usually spend about 1 minute in there to email a quick webcam picure of ourselves to our home + work email, then head straight out of the door - a total waste of space in my opinion.

I don't understand why Disney management had to suck all the little cool things out of the parks like the upstairs area of the Imagination Pavillion and Dreamfinder. It's the little things that help make the whole experince special. :(

I'm bringing the thread back from the dead. I just found this thread from the most recent Imagination thread. Very cool pics, I can't believe things are still there. Thanks.

Upload that stuff to YouTube, I've always wanted to see the full versions of the Dreamfinder's School of Drama movies

While I like the idea of a restaurant, I think Epcot is a bit oversaturated with full-service locations. I also don't know about the logistics of it. However, I do think using it as a food related area (be it a creative candy store, a soda fountain/ice cream shop, etc.) would be a great use for the currently open area. I really wish they would install an alternating lighting package in the pyramid and reopen it to the lower level.

Though I still hope for the reopening of Imageworks (I was just too young when I was there to remember it), I think a restaurant would also be good for the pyramids. Honestly, I would just like them to do something with the space, provided that it somehow ties into Imagination, Figment, and (hopefully) Dreamfinder.

how about a character greeting resataurant, mixed with Imageworks as a waiting area, then you can bypass the restaurant at the end. The pyramid would be great light for pictures with Mickey and friends.

I want that pin table to go up on Ebay..how cool was that...and that picture of the wall next to the Body Wars ride that had that Green Broccoli looking stuff with one of my favorite hidden Mickeys...I'd buy that section of wall on Ebay also.

Boy those were the good old days....

Next time you go to EPCOT, come find me, and I'll take you upstairs to check out the pintables....

P.S. you'll still have to pay $49 for the whole tour...mua ha ha
