Noticed that. Faint rumblings or utter silence from their sources? Your guess?
Mr Hill been hearing anything new?

Take out Dino-Rama. Put it there. The prehistoric is fitting for it. Plus the explorational themes of the Boneyard and the Dino Institute would compliment it well. Gotta keep that Jules Verne steampunk feel in this version for sure.
I agree that DinoLand needs some attention/changes. However, I also think that AK could strongly benefit from a Mysterious Island-like area in the section previously reserved for BK with JttCotE and/or 20K as the centerpiece.
Though the concept of an Australia-themed expansion is appealing, I suspect the other area would generate more buzz and be more marketable. It would hopefully give AK a promotional edge now missing.
I think too. Australia would be more like "Aha they added a third continent in DAK, Australia this time. Wow. That's cool. What's on TV?". It would be not the superheadliner the DAK desperately cries for, it would be only more animals and a ride. TDO should face it, most people do not come to DAK because of the animals! Most large cities and even many smaller ones have zoos today, mine has even two and one is the one with largest variety of species worldwide and the other one is the largest in Europe. And Australias animals are a little bizarre but not exactly something in the scale of Lions and Tigers and Bears. Kangaroos, Tasmanian Devils and Dingos are far less thrilling. If DAK would only offer animals I would visit the park once for half a day during a 10-day stay. And what would the ride be like? I don't think a "Australia Ride" would be too thrilling. Australia ist mostly flat, dry and barren, most of it is desert. The mountains are a joke compared to those on the other continents and there are no ancient artifacts, temples or other buildings as the aborigine were an indigenous culture that didn't build anything. You start in a show building like the Sydney Opera House, then go into the outback, pass a big red rock and then see Crocodile Dundee chasing crocodiles before you visit Nemo in the Great Barrier Reef? No Australia is perhaps the most overestimated expansion idea.
But a Mysterious Island like in TDS with two state-of-the-art E-tickets, JttCotE and another one, either 20.000 LutS or even Fire Mountain and a thrilling theming and landscaping, that would be an enormous booster.
I agree with the first half of this post. As much as I (and probably most people here) like to visit AK for the animals and scenery, the average park goer is making a run to EE. As much as I'm dying to see a continent added, I think the park would fare better by expanding their current lands with more rides. Or even adding the Mysterious Island or something to that effect which included more attractions.
And take into consideration additionally that EE is quite a flawed ride, with a lot of technical problems, breakdowns and most effects either not working at all or only on a much lower scale. When EE breaks down (and that happened several times during our last stay) DAK suddenly has a major attraction fewer.
I may be wrong but aren't the minor effects now working regularly still? (steam, waterfalls, bird at times)
Here's my idea.... and yes I'm sober and in a good state of mind as I type this...
A MEGA ride featuring a walk-through dark Labyrinth where you encounter a realistic Minotaur (animatronic creature, or costumed character) if you don't follow the right path. If you do follow the right path, you have access to the queue to get on the ride itself...some sort of dark ride much like Universal Studio's The Mummy, but with a Griffin or Chymera monster theme , I'm talking Greek Mythology here which has endless possibilities, but we can branch out into other cultures and monsters.

Rumor grows of a shadow in the East, but it's nothing but whispers of a nameless fear at this point. Take it with salt.
