Something something festival table.Certainly, though in this case it would be a little like demolishing Town Hall to build the theatre and a new restaurant and then just not building either.

Exactly. If the "new Tiana-themed playground at EPCOT" is anything to go by, I expect we'll see this bad boy open as Journey of Water Inspired by Moana by late 2023.I think they could just run a few hoses, turn on the water and let the kids loose with them. Mission accomplished!
In fairness, they weren’t advertising the Main Street theatre once every ten minutes in the park for two years. The Main Street Theater will be overjoyed to hear that!

Which sucks because while it's a solid idea and good filler attraction, it's still the wrong park. They were advertising Mary Poppins and that's not happening either.
They did pull that from the EPCOT Experience though. I think if there was any chance Moana wasn't happening they'd have pulled it as well.
With any luck, the Splash Mountain retheme will follow in its and the Main Street Theater's footsteps. They were advertising Mary Poppins and that's not happening either.

I'm perfectly aware.I think that retheme is guaranteed to happen.
That’s what I just said.I think if there was any chance Moana wasn't happening they'd have pulled it as well.
Journey of Water? How is a walkthrough attraction about the water cycle located next to the Seas not in the right park?Which sucks because while it's a solid idea and good filler attraction, it's still the wrong park.
They are actively building it...I’d wager it never opens. It was always vague and unfocused, much more of a placeholder, something to mention in passing when discussing the broader project. It was distinctly secondary to the festival center. I suspect it quietly disappears.
I think it's reasonable to say that most of what's classified as World Nature (with the exception of Soarin') would also fit (and perhaps be a better fit) in Disney's Animal Kingdom.Journey of Water? How is a walkthrough attraction about the water cycle located next to the Seas not in the weight park?
I don’t disagree. I would argue that IASW would also fit (perhaps be a better fit) in EPCOT but that doesn’t mean it is “in the wrong park”.I think it's reasonable to say that most of what's classified as World Nature (with the exception of Soarin') would also fit (and perhaps be a better fit) in Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Well, then I'm wrong. Certainly wouldn't be the first time. They are actively building it...
If it's about water how much shape is it going to have?Well, then I'm wrong. Certainly wouldn't be the first time.
What are they actively building? I haven't seen images, and I'm curious how its taking shape.
You can see some progress here, although there I’m sure there are more recent photos.Well, then I'm wrong. Certainly wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah there's plenty of parallels across the parks and in today's IP mandate, those themes are being diluted more and more.I don’t disagree. I would argue that IASW would also fit (perhaps be a better fit) in EPCOT but that doesn’t mean it is “in the wrong park”.
Just because some could also reasonably be placed in a different park doesn’t mean it inappropriate for where it is built.
At this point it looks like largely like the infrastructure component is going in. They removed the building and there is some vertical construction, but it's minimal.Well, then I'm wrong. Certainly wouldn't be the first time.

There were people who argued that Pandora wouldn't be built when it's construction was well underway. They are actively building it...
