Journey Into Imagination's crazy wait times are creating a dilemma for me...

What should I do with my Fastpass+ for Figment, regarding the current wait times for it.

I have been looking on the My Disney Experience app a lot recently in advance of my trip beginning on April 5th, and I have noticed that recently Journey into Imagination With Figment has never had a wait lower than 20 minutes this entire week, with the highest being 40 minutes on Monday. It's usually 5 minutes or a walk-on on other weeks, but this is strange. Since my "Figment cameo in Inside Out" theory was debunked in another thread about the ride, I'm guessing that it's due to Soarin' being under renovation and people are resorting to other rides or the fact that the ride's main star is the Flower and Garden festival mascot for this year.
But my main problem with Figment's crazy wait times is that I have a third Fastpass+ for that day. Originally, it was for The Seas with Nemo and Friends, but after seeing what happened to Figment this week, I changed it to that, since I have loved that ride ever since I was a toddler (I was even at the park the opening week of the latest version of the ride!). I can't change it to the EPCOT character spot, as I am planning to meet Joy and Sadness there, and the Fastpass + for that only includes Mickey, Minnie, Goofy...etc. (but maybe that could change when I arrive). Living With The Land is also out of the question as it has some really short waits, and I already have a Fastpass for that ride.
So what do you think I should do, guys?

I've used FP+ for attractions that many people would consider a waste of a FP.. but as long as you can't get multiple FP for the same big ticket ride (i.e. Soarin', 7D, TSMM, etc..), I will use them on the lower tier rides to make sure we do them.. We don't plan out every minute of our trips, we block out the 'must do's' and fill in the rest on the fly.

I'd say change it to something that typically has a much longer wait and try and ride Figment as early as possible in the morning. I'm not sure which out of either of your options has a longer wait, or if any of those waits are longer than Figment's, but since Figment is such a fast loading ride I feel like you will probably be ok.

Yes
The reduction in available rides that are kid accessible like Soarin and Maelstrom have reallocated crowds a bit for those that remain (except Ellens' PowerNap ). I have not seen a direct impact on any of the establishments where alcoholic libations are served.

Wait times this week and next week are probably skewed higher due to Spring Break(s) and bigger crowds.

Our trip is during Star Wars Darkside weekend, and I have been trolling wait times the past couple weeks (during the approx times we'd be in the parks) to get a good gauge on what we might be in for. IIRC, Figment had not been too bad (not counting this week of course).

Also in "early April" (no specific date yet) you will be able to book your additional FPs from your phone. Potentially, you could book a Figment FP on your phone as soon as you leave FP3's exit, and have it "ready" for you by the time you walk from Nemo to Figment.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
This is due to spring break crowds now and for the next several weeks. There will be spring break crowds continuing through most of April as well. So it is very possible when your there soon it will be the same. But normally this is not the case for that ride if it's not during much heavier crowd times. ;)

didn't they condense the hours of Journey Into Imagination also? So forcing the same X # of people on during less hours.

Personally I'm a big fan of "Ellen's PowerNap". Out of the sun, off my feet and in the AC for 45 minutes watching animatronic dinosaurs sloooowly creak by.

As for the OP's question Figment is rarely worth more than a walk on in my book but if you care about the ride then use it and save yourself the worry.

We've used our 3rd FP on it before. It actually has been easier to get than Nemo. Sometimes there's a big stand-by line and it's good to have. We've changed it if there was no line.

It's funny this is coming up. We were eating lunch at CHH recently, I believe it was on 3/8 which was a Monday around early evening, and we thought we'd have some fun and check out random wait times on the MDE app. We always make bets on what the TSM wait will be, Peter Pan, and a few others.

We got to Epcot and saw that Figment (well, DH and I call it F*ckment) and the wait was 40 minutes!
We laughed so hard I almost choked on our Anchors Away sandwich.

The wait time for this thing will actually become a whopping 30 minutes if you get stuck behind a brazilian tour group!!! It's happened to me

However... I was the only one behind that tour group... So I wasted valuable time I could've spent NOT waiting in line for this, and coming back to it after riding M:S.
