Then the Roombas could attack, like in the Simpsons.

I think they should work a SlapChop and a ShamWow in there somehow :)

They need to give the mother a new laptop, and they need to fix the dialogue between the daughter and grandfather. It's laughable that the daughter says "car phone" and that the grandfather mentions laser discs. They added "high def tv" to the grandfather's dialogue a year or two ago, so I can't imagine this will be too difficult.
That's untrue. "High Def TV" has been in the script since 1994. It's one aspect of the '94 script that's still relevant to today's technology.

When I rode in January I noticed the tree in the final scene had LED lights. Are they new?

What's behind the curtains in the load/unload scenes? Would there be room for additional scenes?

Theoretically there's as much stage space in the Load/Unload theaters as there is in the other four, but I don't know for sure. The other four scenes might use a little more room than the 1/6 it's "allocated".

I've always thought that they could add one more scene if they could use a single "stop" for simultaneous Load and Unload. (Unload out one door while the next audience loads through the other one, like they do in other theater shows) They'd just have to make sure they could successfully do that with two full theaters, and perhaps shorten the Unload/Load spiels as necessary to fit it all in. (Perhaps have the narrator talk while the audience is leaving and entering)

The funny thing to me is before this thread I never noticed that the unload and load were different scenes. If there is enough space at those locations for full tilt scenes then maybe they could have curtains for the first and last ones.

When I saw the title of the thread I expected to hear news that John's pants were leftover purple bus driver pants :)

My thought is to go back to the original World's Fair version of CoP (end it in 1964) and use it as a tribute to Walt Disney.

They need to take the 90' speakers out of the last scene next to the new flat screen TV. Or maybe they need to update the last scean compleatly with new technolagy. The laptop they have on the desk by the mother needs to be a new looking laptop and they also need to do some AA updates thought the whole ride. Johns skin looks bad because it only goes to his neck. Its just sad that CoP was left to rot for so many years like most classic attractions at Disney world. And that is because of three words "Team Disney Orlando"

If we change Acts 1-3 to other years/decades, then we completely destroy what remains of the walt disney world's fair version of the ride.

I say try to recreate as much of the world's fair version as possible acts 1-4 the 1890s through the 1960s....and then take the stage of the unload theater and turn that into a bonus future ending that will always change but never effect the world's fair show....so when a new cast is hired for the changed bonus ending, they simply read off the set-in-stone world's fairish script.

then as it has already been said, take the load theater and do what they do with many other theaters i.e. philarmagic and have guests enter through one door and exit via another door

also....if a backstory were needed.....the CoP sort of looks like a UFO...why not finally give it a Tomorrowland94 Jules Verne makeover and make it look like a UFO that was parked on the groud.....and a preshow that says the Tomorrowland Metro Retro Historically Society purchased the CoP and is showing it to the citizens and visitors of Tomorrowland what human life is like on Earth as scene by the great visionary,Walt Disney, who presented the attraction at something humans call a world's fair....but the metro retro society will also showcase their vision of the future at the end of the attraction, in the hopes that the CoP can go to the Intergalactic Fair.

They would be great if it were on MSUSA, and not in TL.

Ahhh...Edison Square. Where are you?

It's not.

In a Disney Park? :D I quite think so!

They should also have some sort of robot butler and John should be able to ask it questions and have it answer him, like a robot "Google". Like "When did Avatar come out in theatres?" and then it responds "December 18th, 2009". Stuff like that.

The robot from Horizons would be awesome or perhaps even the Timekeeper.... Perhaps the pants will be featured on a Piece of History Pin

The CoP needs a backstory as a preshow, one reason why it's such a boring/awkward attraction for guests (and I've heard them comment on it during the ride) is that they have no clue what it is....you have no guarantee that guests will even pay attention to the TTA spiel whether they be riding the TTA or listening to it from the ground, and the TV screens in the.....dare I even call it, "pre show" have terrible audio, and most guests don't even pay attention to those. The only saving grace is listening to the brief intro in the load theater before the theater rotates

The CoP sticks out like a sore thumb, it wasn't even supposed to survive Tomorrowland 94, but due to budget restraints, did, and it's building was never given the TL94 look, and now Space Mountain has gotten a Tomorrowland backstory, making the CoP look even more like an old forgotten remnant from old Tomorrowland, when all it needs is a better backstory in the introduction of the ride and facade makeover to better tie it in to the rest of the Tomorrowland Community.

Tomorrowland is no longer about random corporate exhibits in plain-looking buildings, both Disneyland and the MK each have a Tomorrowland Community, though the MK does it a bit better (though I can't agree that Monsters and Stitch are the best choices, but nonetheless they do have a backstory to them).

Something like "A look back into the world of yesterday, and how it paves the future, sponsored by the Tomorrowland Historical Society" might work.:lol:
