Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

My thing about this show is that it could have been better without a lot of long stretches even without the fireworks. The Osborne Lights was by definition not a fireworks show (no, this is not harping on "they shouldn't have gotten rid of the Osborne Lights"). When the big pieces played, the lights just went crazy and it was fun to watch. Similarly, they could have done the same thing with the projections in conjunction with larger pieces like "What Is This?". Then add a dash of fireworks to top it off.
I admittedly haven't seen it. It's tough, but I'm trying to not watch any of the new shows before we leave. Maybe this one isn't so great, maybe it is, I'll make my opinion on that in 2 weeks.. at that time I may agree with you.
I wasn't arguing if the show was good or bad, only that I wasn't expecting it to have fireworks as the main component of the show. I am expecting that based on the description on the website...the highlight is billed as the projection show, that's how I translated the wording.

I get your point. But with a name like "Jingle BAM" you would think it would have more fireworks than it did. Just saying. Regardless, I go back to my previous point about the show itself. Could have made better use of projections and music too.

I very much enjoyed the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular when I saw it last month, and I think this show is a great holiday addition. I like the change from SW for the holidays, and thought the show was decent.

I just looked at the name as a reference to Prep and Landing, but I do see your point. Like I said, unfortunately I can't give an opinion yet.. soon!lol

You know what's funny?
Just watched the video. I thought it was really cool. I like the mix of projections, lasers and fireworks. The "snow" effect looked cool too.

I get that people who just want a straight fireworks show are not going to like this. For myself, I am not looking for that type of show. Seen that many times. I did, however, liked the end where the fireworks picked up a bit leading into the finale.

Happy to read this!!! Looking forward to it and keeping an open mind! :)

Meh. Cute but not memorable. I remember the first time I watched DL's Fantasmic, World of Color, WDW Wishes, the big anniversary shows out west for the 50th and 60th. All of those left me with "feels" that I couldn't get enough of and really warranted multiple viewings. Nice additions/better than nothing? of course. However, for a holiday show with prep and landing and nightmare (two of my faves) I thought it was a little underwhelming.

So... does this make the JBJB vs Fantasmic choice a little easier? Based on video and reviews that I've read on other sites, it appears that if you only have one night at DHS, Fantasmic might be the better option.

Agree. Go with Fantasmic if you only have one night.

I don't usually spring for upcharge events, but we did get the JBJB dessert party because I was afraid I would have a hard time seeing since I'm on the short side! Glad I did. Can't wait to see it on Dec11!

You can't see Santa Goofy anywhere else at the moment, they have actual Santa as the regular meet. Santa Goofy will only appear after Christmas Day when Santa returns to the North Pole.

I guess it qualifies as another cut-back.
Sad that it has become more difficult to find a meet & greet with Santa Goofy.
He was available to everyone at the Studios last year.

Was actual Santa available to meet last year? If not then it it's not a cut, just a straight swap.

I should have "unfollowed" this thread once the negativity started..making me a little bit nervous.lol

To those of you that have watched the video, if you look at it from a child's eyes, will they enjoy it?

Idk but the show isn't just for kids so it doesn't matter what its like through their eyes. I watched the show in person last night and I can honestly say it was ok. It was not great and it's definitely one of the weaker Christmas offerings.

For me it does matter if a child would enjoy it, which is why I asked the question.

I can not do both Minnie's Holiday Dine and the JBJB dessert party. So I'm curious to hear what children thought of the show. My Disney trips are about what my kid would enjoy, I can sit through anything if he loves it.

Edit--- Almost anything...there's limits.lol
