Have you been through the Gringott's queue? Or had a conversation with Sir in the bank?
And, I know it's not open yet, but I am confident that the Kong AA will wipe its hairy butt with anything at Fantasyland.

God dont get me started on the gringotts AAs, they're straight out of the calico mine ride! they're slow and jerky, not Disney level. as for kong, lets just see how long he'll last ;)

You know what would be groundbreaking and revolutionary? If we could like both Uni and WDW instead of getting into the Uni vs Disney argument in every Uni and Disney thread.

I guess that would be less fun though. Maybe kinda boring.

I also want world peace! some things just cant happen :(

I actually think Universal is a great park, yet people get this outrageous notion that its the best theme park ever made.

One word on that subject: Yeti.
Either way, I'm done with this argument.
You can lead a horse to culture, but you can't make him think.

i hope yo know its all opinion, we can argue for hours, you can think your right, but what makes us right is what we think. Basically HP is a nice platter of pre-engineered tech. they're both motion bases with screens and "sets" its the same experience, different story. I wont say little mermaid is the most revolutionary ride in FL because its just nemo, but its unfair to worship harry potter. thats all im saying.
You might have a small semblance of being taken more seriously if you just accepted you don't know much of anything about ride systems and show controls.

I see someone's up to their old tricks again, thanks to all the quotes. If anyone needs instructions on how to use the forum's ignore function, I'll be happy to help. ;)

I still can't figure out why this attraction is even being discussed yet, given how sparse details currently are. That being said, I'm confident in assuming it's meant to be a fairly "safe" project, so why it's being compared to an unrelated park's complete hail mary pass of a project is beyond me. Even blatant trolls with objectively awful opinions are more likely to be taken seriously by some poor, unassuming soul if they at least remember to compare oranges to oranges!

Ok, by now we all know @KingOfEpicocity is a moronic troll who's head is shoved so far up his a%$ that he cannot even think correctly or reason. His mind is sealed shut and he is not open to any opinions or reality due to all the pixie dust he snorts. Most likely a loser 15 year old kid who sits on his computer all day with no friends crying that Horizons closed.

Let's just TRY to ignore him.

When someone says Diagon Alley is not immersive or impressive you know they're
Trying really hard just to bash a park for no reason at all (probably just drinks too much hater-ade)

Someone claiming the FJ isn't innovative, where I have seen that recently. :cautious:
Some people are just ignorant. I gave up on an argument last week when the poster insisted that TSMM's queue was better than "the Harry Potter ride's queue".

I believe the supporting evidence was the fact that TSMM's queue had a Disney character in it and Universal's didn't.

I'm just popping in to point out that anyone disrespecting the KUKA RV in Potter needs to be reminded other than some initial growing pains to get the projection domes to run in sync with the RVs, they have been BULLET PROOF tech offering insanely high capacity, unmatched motion, and unbelievable reliability from day one. KUKA arms have been used in theme parks before; but, not until Potter did they exist and a moving RV. FJ is essentially a modern omnimover.

Meanwhile down I-4 Disney is struggling to get a log flume to round a corner successfully. Not exactly state of the art tech (and nowhere near the capacity of FJ for that attraction).

While some lament Disney losing the Potter franchise to Universal and other lament the loss of the KUKA RV to Universal... I think the past several years have taught us something important... think of all the attractions that could've been either not built or underfunded if Disney did get both of the rights.

I'm happy with the way it turned out.

I'm not gonna say that the Sorting Hat is anywhere near as impressive as Mr. Potato Head, but it IS a character.
And yeah, obviously anyone with a brain will appreciate the Musion effects, talking portraits, movie-realistic set recreations, and subtle effects like the self-sorting books in Dumbledore's office more than the fact that the Tinkertoys are 10 feet tall.

Is this just going to be another screen based attraction?

With a really impressive queue/facade. Think Soarin' without the Snorin'. Fun/lighthearted parody of Soarin. Kong and F&F will have a good deal of physical stuff, though. And believe it or not Nintendo will be more physical than screen based. And the water park will probably be the best in Orlando.

Don't worry, most all of disney's upcoming attraction projects are primarily screen based. And all the new changes/additions this year are too, Soarin/TSMM are 100% screen based, and Frozen has a LOT of them. Avatar is mostly screen based, and so is star wars. The rest of Toy Story land won't be, but it's mostly exposed flat rides and a coaster.

Soarin is one of my favourite rides actually. Just love that. If it's anything like that, i would love it.

Soarin' is immersive, you feel you are actually in the POV, rather than Despicable me where you are aware of the walls around you, etc

The only issue for me is - Shrek, Despicable Me, now this - all three screen based attractions rite next to each other.
