Jimmy Fallon Ride

For me, it's just that they've earned my faith in the past decade. I'm not blind to projects that fall flat (Transformers), but overall they have a winning record.

You must fail to see that universal has many flaws? And CAN make bad rides. Nothing about this jimmy Fallon ride so far makes it another Harry Potter god we can all worship.

Yes, I just said that not everything is perfect. But, as someone who has played and worked at both resorts, I have MUCH more faith in the path that Universal is on than that of Disney.
Disney is suffering from far more flaws than Uni.

What exactly do you see as flaws in Disney? High ticket prices? If you ask me, Disney has been making beautiful attractions (when they do). But there's more in universal than Harry Potter. Transformers, F&F, and I hope not but even jimmy Fallon aren't 100% masterpieces. Just because you steal locations from a movie doesn't mean you can't mess up. I didn't say either were perfect, they're not for sure. And I guess if you love Fallon and F&F more than Star Wars or avatar then that's perfectly fair. I have patience

Tell me: when is the last time Disney make a truly revolutionary attraction?
And if Potter isn't a 100% masterpiece... what is?

Its all a bit predictable. Youd think fanboys of a company built on visionary ideas would be a little less one dimensional. But then perhaps they mirror the beast of today rather than the one of folklore.

If you think Harry potter is "revolutionary." just go over to spiderman. under the hood its the same thing. i dont ask you to hate on universal or harry potter, i ask you not to worship it like its the best thing that has ever happened, because its not.

Jeeze, I didn't realize how completely out of your gourd you are.

Spider-Man is a ride built on a simulator base (BTW, Disney has yet to introduce a ride better than Spider-Man to the West Coast). Potter is built on friggin' KUKA arms (the only use of KUKA on a track IN THE WORLD), each of which travels in sync with it's own batch of domed projection screens (another first).

If you're gonna group attractions like Pirates and small world or Haunted Mansion and Little Mermaid together, that's one thing. You can't do that with Spidey and Potter.

PLEASE let me know an Orlando attraction better than EITHER of those two.

Easy, Innoventions. No one but Disney could exhibit emptiness in such a magical way.

i hope yo know its all opinion, we can argue for hours, you can think your right, but what makes us right is what we think. Basically HP is a nice platter of pre-engineered tech. they're both motion bases with screens and "sets" its the same experience, different story. I wont say little mermaid is the most revolutionary ride in FL because its just nemo, but its unfair to worship harry potter. thats all im saying.

You are talking to the guy who said this about Diagon...

Im not trolling.. i simply didnt feel anything when i walked into that land. it was small, contained, cramped and it felt synthetic. like it was all a facade, and not a real thing.

As for the Fallon ride, personally I am not excited about it yet, but it's such a bizarre sounding idea that I am really interested to see what they do with it.

Pre-engineered? KUKA has never been put on a track til Potter.
Please, tell me what WDW has that is more impressive.

Of course, I would take the fantasyland animatronics over all of this any day. you can find KUKA arms in disney parks, you can find motion simulators in just about any park, but you wont find AAs that good in any park. To me at least, thats truly impressive

We have had this argument before. I just can't understand how anyone can walk into Diagon Alley and not feel immersed in the world of Harry Potter, even if they don't like Harry Potter.

Well then you have your exception. its so lifeless and dry, like a manufactured pale made to make people think it has heart. thats how i feel, for people who can enjoy it? good for you! it just doesn't connect with me emotionally.

Have you been through the Gringott's queue? Or had a conversation with Sir in the bank?
And, I know it's not open yet, but I am confident that the Kong AA will wipe its hairy butt with anything at Fantasyland.
You know what would be groundbreaking and revolutionary? If we could like both Uni and WDW instead of getting into the Uni vs Disney argument in every Uni and Disney thread.

I guess that would be less fun though. Maybe kinda boring.
Honestly, I still listen to WDW music loops at work. The nostalgia is unbeatable.
