If I leave a 5 star review on iTunes will Jim tell us more?Jim can't, and I told him not to tell me anything else until he can.
I would delete it after this comment...but I can't
I agree though I just wanted to pass along the info
OP...Don’t give in to the haters. Don’t ever delete your threads if it’s a topic you want to talk about. Who cares if there are 37 other threads? The forum police just want to tell ppl what to do. You do you.
That being said, thanks for bringing this topic up bc I’m sure Jim has some great news he will eventually be able to share. Maybe it’s shows/attractions/etc that are confirmed and maybe it’s plans that are still evolving. Either way, the thing I like is that Jim is trying to find out what’s going on in the parks while putting it into historical perspective. Who needs pixie dust when you’ve got Jim Hill? Best podcast out there I tell ya...
Unlikely. He may know someone that does though.the answer is we don't know...only one who does is Jim
Thanks man I appreciate it...I get the criticism though

Don't listen to the forum police. If there's a problem with the thread, a true moderator would handle it. It'd be nice if some weren't so quick to jump on someone ... and I personally wasn't jumping on you, was just left wondering because of the lack of details and in what context was he speaking of, like, is this stuff already announced, does he somehow know of more that hasn't leaked, etc. I can see why some were confused like I was, but I don't see any harm. This is after all also a RUMORS forum.
Forgive me...
I'm not necessarily on either side with this one, but I did want to be the "forum police" for a moment and point out that it's actually explicitly against forum rules to create unnecessary threads about subjects already being discussed. It's also pretty pointless and clutters up the forums, making it harder for members to find actual news. Aside from that, we have a very small moderation team who works very hard to make sure the forums run smoothly, and blatantly creating threads that they have to merge into other threads makes their already-difficult job all the more difficult.
THAT SAID, I'd say this is okay because I don't know that we've heard much about any new "shows" or "experiences" coming to Epcot outside of what has been official announced already by Disney. The lack of any details kinda sucks, but that's not @Surferboy567's fault at all. Hopefully we get more details on this information soon, though I always take everything Jim says with a cup of salt.
You're not wrong.
But it's really not up to us to tell a poster what's right and wrong (I know some of you genuinely want to help moderate, but very few of us actually are, that's all I mean). They should have read the rules of the forum. And I know Steve and Mom can only do so much but I think it's ultimately up to them. Should they have to decide all of this? No, of course not. I just don't think it's up to any one of us to police someone. And most don't usually do it in a very nice way. You saying it how you did, is a nice way to "police things". When forum members play forum police, the poster can sometimes feel ganged up on. Not everyone has ill intent.
No harm, but more details would have been nice, of course, if possible (and it wasn't). I can understand the cluttering up and wasting people's time, but there's a thin line here because this is still, after all, a rumors forum. I'm not saying everyone should just make up something and post it, that would be more of an example of pointless threads (and we've sure had them). But this originated from someone (Hill) who does sometimes get things right and I don't think the OP meant any harm. Sometimes things are just innocent. I don't think he was trying to clutter up the forum or waste anyone's time.
Nah, I agree, and I usually stay out of it... but this one bothered me a little because it felt like you guys were basically encouraging somebody to ignore people telling him that he might be breaking forum rules.
I think at this point, we only have 2 or 3 mods. This is a massive community, so some self-policing is always going to be necessary lol.
/Off topic
But, again, if he were breaking the rules, he'd be told. It's simple to report a post, which then garners the attention of those who can make that call. I do understand where you're coming from though. I more or less wanted him to not feel discouraged or ganged up on. It's off-putting sometimes when forum members play forum police. JMO. But I understand the desire to help and if someone's in the wrong it is OK to alert them, wasn't necessarily discouraging that. I guess I more have a problem with how some approach things like this. Not saying you, but some don't really explain the actual potential issue and instead "jump on" the poster, who likely innocently made a mistake. Anyway ... lol, moving on
I wish the love reaction was just a heart and not heart eyes lol. I strongly agree with what you said, but I don't want it to come across as flirting LOL.
But, for real, we're the worst with being off-topic, which is ironically also against the forum rules.

For what it's worth, I don't think the OP meant any harm at all either. I don't even agree that this thread is unnecessary, as information is likely to slowly trickle into it as it goes on. I just didn't like that people were basically taking the position of "anti-forum police," when those "police" are typically just trying to keep this a fun and productive community for everybody lol.

...See when making this thread my intention was just to inform others on what I heard Jim on the podcast say I didn't mean any harm, (hell I didn't even know it was against any rules). If this thread is against the rules they would of removed it already. As it has blown up past what I thought a simple message being passed along would. I didn't mean to cause any kind of problems with the post just wanted to pass a simple message along. I will be MUCH MORE CAREFUL with the threads I create and make. I am happy that the message got out there though so now we have something to look forward to (hopefully in terms of announcements). Going back on the whole no details thing on the show I was only going off of what I heard on the podcast so I wasn't given any details there.
My posts were trying to make you stress less.
No worries and you didn't cause any real problem, at least for me
Thanks Man...I just wanted to make myself clear. Last thing I want is to **** people off and be banned I really like these fourms.
