I wonder somthing,
when entering the last section of the queue you see a half circle covered, is it the place where the first scene of the dreamfinder was? and if so does anyone know if they bothered removing the late DF before walling this circle?

Of course how fullish of me,

enclosed is a picture of the area (notice the half circle on the right who looks very much like the "stage" in which the DF once rolled his machine)

Hmm.. I think it's possible, but I don't know for sure. Somewhere in the photo albums is a "blueprint" of the original ride. Maybe that can help determine if the half-circle area in the current queue is the Dreamfinder area.

I thought that was an Cast Member backstage area, as i have seen many CM's go in and out of the doors on that wall. From what i could see through the doors, it was just a long white hallway, lit with green (this was the flubber door) and a big empty space at the end. Any CM's care to comment? I wish i was a CM so i could comment more!!

Unfortunately, yoav, that isn't the massive turntable.

When Journey into Imagination was closed for refurbishment, the original sets were thrown out (the ride) and a brand new track system (that detoured away from the turntable) was constructed. Likewise, the entire pavilion was remodeled.

The turntable you're speaking about still exists, but guests actually step over it in the queue area and the new post-show.

Coincidentally, the reason JII closed in the first place was mainly due to this set you speak of - it was so massive, it was sinking the rest of the track down! After maintence (and safety) became too much of an issue, the original ride would lose all its technological and spiritual wonderment.

Remember the sparks!

Interesting story, Grizz. Where exactly is it in the queue and postshow? I want to find it when I'm there next month.

I miss JII so much.

maybe i can make it small enough to send but probably not. It is 16 minutes long.

it shows the part your talking about. it was the stiarway to the hands on play area. Sort of like a science center exhibit

RED lines - Track for Journey into (Your) Imagination (with Figment)

GREEN numbers - Current scenes from Journey into Imagination with Figment.

1: Load
2: Opening screens
3: Sound Lab
4: Computer Lab
5: Sight Lab
6: Butterfly Cage
7: Smell Lab
8: Touch and Taste Lab

www.figmentsimagination.com is also a great website. Changes coming soon, too!

They got rid of Dreamfinder because Kodak owns it. Isn't a shame? Dreamfinder is ESSENTIAL to the Imagination pavilion, and the stronghold of Imagination has failed without it.

What's that line wait again? Oh, zero minutes. Gotcha.

When I went on the ride for the first time since it got redone (this was in February 2003), they had to like.. start up the ride for us. The vehicles weren't moving. There was NO ONE else there. I should've seen the handwriting on the wall with that one.

We're gonna bust him out of Eisner's dungeon. Along with everyone else that is there, including Mr. Toad, the Sage of Time, Captain Nemo, Leonardo Columbus, Elfin, Cosmo, and the casts of Horizons, Food Rocks and Kitchen Kaberet.

General Grizz - since no one else said it - nice plan and info! My pavillion blueprints are currently in the mail (somewhere over the Atlantic hopefully) - I can`t wait to have a close look.
