Trip Report JenniferS is live - 9/3 - 9/16

Technically this is a pre-trip report, but we’ll be going live in less than a week!

This will be my third live September trip report.

It’s going to be a lot of same old/same old, as the cast, location, and ADR’s are pretty much the same. What can I say - we like what we like. And what we like is each other, Walt Disney World, Coronado Springs, and Free Disney Dining.

First, the who.
Me, JenniferS - Uber planning, pixie dust snorting Disney-aholic, 51 year old kid at heart (despite what the mirror says).

This is Hubby. He likes the Tar Heels, the Blue Jays, food, beer, and me. Not necessarily in that order.
The words most often heard coming out of his mouth are “Whatever you want, Baby.”

This is us. We are adorable together. We’re each other’s ride or die.

Last year, we were celebrating my 50th birthday (as much as women celebrate these “milestones”).

This year, we are celebrating Mike’s 50th (both of us born in August, so it’s close enough to count) AND our 25th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

We have children, but we don’t bring them to Disney very often anymore. If they decide to get married and start giving us grand-babies, I will re-visit this decision. But for now, they stay home. We are on Jen and Mike time.

After two live trip reports, I’m not sure how wordy this report will be, but it will be heavy on pics, most especially of food! As Mike says - I’m only here for the food.

To be continued ....

This is not the trouble-making Sangria. No, it was the next one ....

Within seconds of our server setting down Eric’s second Sangria, the table was covered in red wine. The table. The floor. Eric’s pants. His shoes.

Weirdest thing though - no one had over-turned the glass. It had not overspilled because it was too full. Nope, we just looked at the glass as it emptied itself everywhere; like a plug had been pulled.

Turns out that somewhere between the kitchen and our table, the glass developed a crack/hole, and didn’t decide to disgorge its contents until it saw Eric’s nice clean pants.

Eric was a good sport about it, and the server did say that Disney would pay if dry cleaning was required.
Oh that’s rough. Not just the stains - being wet and cold in that a/c. Weird it waited to explode until it had an audience. Even the glasses have comedic timing!

My pants were dry by the end of the show and I don’t see any stains. My shoes are still a bit sticky but they will clean up easily. So the Sangria flood turned out to be no big deal. I felt sorry for our waitress though.

I was considering a very late arrival to MK tomorrow, but I can see that probably isn’t going to work. I do not want to lose 7DMT, so we need to be there by 10:00’ish after all.

I have just swapped Splash Mountain for the Jungle Cruise. We will now come back to the Resort after lunch, before heading back to Epcot for 5:30/6:00.

The plan is to take the bus to MK tomorrow. We plan this a lot, and then just get in the car anyway. Time will tell.

Day 5 Wrap up.

Epcot:
The Ball
Frozenstrom
Voices of Liberty
The American Adventure.

We did a bit of shopping and visited 2 F&W kiosks.

Dinner at Hoop Dee Doo Revue was good fun. I ate too much, but I’m pretty sure I mentioned that.

From there, we visited Disney Springs and I stocked up on a whole year’s worth of Basin Pink Sugar Body Butter, in addition to other stuff.

Mike is currently polishing off the airplane leftovers and has dived pretty deep into the Hallowe’en party candy. I haven’t told him yet what time we have to get up. 😂

Approx. 2000 of these steps are leftover from last night. Not my fault I couldn’t claim them then.

This might be the first night I am asleep before him. Good night all.

When we are there in November, I plan to stock up on shampoo bars... why are there only 4 Basins in the US?

We love hoop dee doo so much.... the food... that shortcake... mmmm!
I picked up some shampoo and conditioner bars for the first time. I’ve heard everyone singing their praises, but I’m a little sceptical.

Basin does not ship to Canada, but if I really love them, my Bestie is placing an order just before we hook up with her in NYC for Billy Joel, before Christmas.

I've only tried one of them so far, and both hubby and I loved it... I'm skeptical about the conditioner bars... seems like it would be difficult to use because it's not a lathering thing, and leave my hair heavy.
