Trip Report JenniferS is live - 9/3 - 9/16

Technically this is a pre-trip report, but we’ll be going live in less than a week!

This will be my third live September trip report.

It’s going to be a lot of same old/same old, as the cast, location, and ADR’s are pretty much the same. What can I say - we like what we like. And what we like is each other, Walt Disney World, Coronado Springs, and Free Disney Dining.

First, the who.
Me, JenniferS - Uber planning, pixie dust snorting Disney-aholic, 51 year old kid at heart (despite what the mirror says).

This is Hubby. He likes the Tar Heels, the Blue Jays, food, beer, and me. Not necessarily in that order.
The words most often heard coming out of his mouth are “Whatever you want, Baby.”

This is us. We are adorable together. We’re each other’s ride or die.

Last year, we were celebrating my 50th birthday (as much as women celebrate these “milestones”).

This year, we are celebrating Mike’s 50th (both of us born in August, so it’s close enough to count) AND our 25th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

We have children, but we don’t bring them to Disney very often anymore. If they decide to get married and start giving us grand-babies, I will re-visit this decision. But for now, they stay home. We are on Jen and Mike time.

After two live trip reports, I’m not sure how wordy this report will be, but it will be heavy on pics, most especially of food! As Mike says - I’m only here for the food.

To be continued ....

I stopped taking pictures at one point, to conserve my battery for important stuff, so it may be hard to reconstruct what we did.

I’ll do my best, and Eric can feel free to correct me.

4:00-7:00:
Pooh (FP)
TTA
Buzz (FP)
MILF
CoP
Space Mountain - twice
Ariel

7:00-midnight:
Dinner at Columbia Harbour House
(Came out to rain)
Haunted Mansion
IaSW
Pooh
Space Mountain - twice
Pirates
Parade
Splash
Hocus Pocus

Lots and lots of candy lines. Mike actually got embarrassed and wouldn’t go through the Cosmic Ray’s line with me again. Lucky for me Eric had no such reservations.

I’ll post more pics and thoughts tomorrow, but I thought it was an awesome evening, and certainly worth the ticket price.

No correction from me. Looks like you got everything right.
BTW, throughout the evening, I ate 6 mini choc bars - 2 Twix, 2 Snickers, 3 Milky Way ... so I guess that actually makes 7.

Eric can do his own fessing up, and I’ll ask Mike in the morning when he is awake.

Okay, now I mean it. Good night. 😴

I think all I had was one Dove chocolate, two bags of Skittles and one pack of Starburst. I am about to eat a 3 Musketeers though.

You’ll be singing it for weeks! (Not that there’s anything wrong with that).

My Halloween party candy made it home to us on Saturday night and I broke into it yesterday - 3 Twix, 1 caramel m&m’s, one Milky Way and a peanut butter Snickers.

Mike candy-eating update:
“I didn’t keep track. I just ate it.
The gummy Lifesavers were really good. Let’s get some of those.”

He also says he wasn’t too embarrassed to go through the line again (fib), it’s just that he wanted to eat some candy. 🙄

In somewhat related news, he and the kids are going to have a truckload of Skittles to eat. I don’t eat those.

The white chocolate Twix though ... oh baby!

My BFF/SIL has recently moved in with us. (You may remember Tammy from multiple, multiple previous Disney trips.)

Son #1 informed me that new house rules have been implemented in my absence. (No need to see Ski’s inappropriate response.)

She can live with us forever, as far as I’m concerned. ❤️

I remember you asking about the FuelRods before your trip. Did you decide to try them out? I'm definitely going to get one for us for our next trip - though I'm not sure whether we need more than one or if it works out to share one between the two of us.

Loving your trip report, BTW! You can never have too many tips on food, but I am getting that "eyes are bigger than my stomach" feeling already from the list of all the places and things I want to try out! (Top of my list: Yachtsman Steakhouse - but I need to decide between it and Schula's)

From that list on the right, if she needs another home we'd be happy to have her here with us!

The pic does not convey the enormity of the sugary goodness. The bag is certainly heavier than a 5kg bag of potatoes, that’s for sure.

These are the aforementioned Lifesaver Gummies.

It’s 12:40 and we have not yet left the resort. I think we have a MNSSHP hangover. And it was worth it!

Back to the Space Mountain in the dark thing ... absolutely freaking awesome. We lost track of time doing the ride again, and that was how we missed the fireworks. All three of us pretty much said - too bad, so sad, totally worth it.

So ... yeah. This proves that we are incapable of sticking to a schedule ... or that we’re very flexible. Whichever.

Not eating at Sunshine Seasons today. Certainly not at 12:30.

Actually, today is nosh around the World day, so Mike has dressed appropriately.

We’re going to take it easy today.
The Ball; maybe some Soarin’; some F&W; a couple of WS pavilions; back to the hotel to de-funk; Hoop Dee Doo; Disney Springs.

That’s the new schedule.

I didn’t bother with ride pics. Unless your name is Bricker or Josh, they don’t turn out anyway.

I just sat back, enjoyed, and sang. Loudly.

Sitting on the floor of the American pavilion, listening to the Voices of Liberty, waiting for the next AA show.
