Trip Report JenniferS is live - 9/3 - 9/16

Technically this is a pre-trip report, but we’ll be going live in less than a week!

This will be my third live September trip report.

It’s going to be a lot of same old/same old, as the cast, location, and ADR’s are pretty much the same. What can I say - we like what we like. And what we like is each other, Walt Disney World, Coronado Springs, and Free Disney Dining.

First, the who.
Me, JenniferS - Uber planning, pixie dust snorting Disney-aholic, 51 year old kid at heart (despite what the mirror says).

This is Hubby. He likes the Tar Heels, the Blue Jays, food, beer, and me. Not necessarily in that order.
The words most often heard coming out of his mouth are “Whatever you want, Baby.”

This is us. We are adorable together. We’re each other’s ride or die.

Last year, we were celebrating my 50th birthday (as much as women celebrate these “milestones”).

This year, we are celebrating Mike’s 50th (both of us born in August, so it’s close enough to count) AND our 25th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

We have children, but we don’t bring them to Disney very often anymore. If they decide to get married and start giving us grand-babies, I will re-visit this decision. But for now, they stay home. We are on Jen and Mike time.

After two live trip reports, I’m not sure how wordy this report will be, but it will be heavy on pics, most especially of food! As Mike says - I’m only here for the food.

To be continued ....

I didn’t bother with ride pics. Unless your name is Bricker or Josh, they don’t turn out anyway.

I just sat back, enjoyed, and sang. Loudly.

Sitting on the floor of the American pavilion, listening to the Voices of Liberty, waiting for the next AA show.
So screaming on roller coasters is NOT ok but singing on dark rides is? Interesting.

😂

I love, love, love the American Adventure.
Mike, not as much. He says scrap the girl’s gymnastic team in the montage, and replace them with the Miracle on Ice hockey team. (Spoken like a true Canadian.)

As usual, I cried a little and got sunscreen in my eyes. Not pleasant.

Lobster roll? Yes please. One each.

Mike is pressing me to get a Guinness Bailey’s Shake. Tempting, but ... no. Not today.
(Unless I change my mind between here and Ireland. That thing was soooo good. Did I mention that?)

So yeah, we were planning on meeting Eric at our resort at 5:00.

After we were done with our lobster rolls, I asked Mike what time it was. 4:46.

You do the math. We’re at Hops & Barley at the American pavilion ... could we be any further from the front of the park? Nope. Not even if we tried.

We booked it to the front of the park, walked to our car, and got to CSR by 5:06. Pretty impressive, no?

So despite a late start, a wrong turn, and a loquacious Fort Wilderness bus driver, we made it to Pioneer Hall in plenty of time.

Please note Eric’s pristine pants. They did not look like that later.

I booked very close to the 180 day window, and we had tremendous seats. Dead centre, second from the stage.

This is not the trouble-making Sangria. No, it was the next one ....

Within seconds of our server setting down Eric’s second Sangria, the table was covered in red wine. The table. The floor. Eric’s pants. His shoes.

Weirdest thing though - no one had over-turned the glass. It had not overspilled because it was too full. Nope, we just looked at the glass as it emptied itself everywhere; like a plug had been pulled.

Turns out that somewhere between the kitchen and our table, the glass developed a crack/hole, and didn’t decide to disgorge its contents until it saw Eric’s nice clean pants.

Eric was a good sport about it, and the server did say that Disney would pay if dry cleaning was required.

After dinner, we waddled back to the bus that took us back to the parking area.

We went to Disney Springs, and parked in the Lime Garage. Not sure what the chances are, but we ended up getting a spot less than 20’ from where Eric had left his vehicle.

We did some shopping. I struck out at Cherry Tree Lane. Struck out at the Christmas Store. Stocked up at Basin. And Mike tried on hats.

We only bought the last one. I think for Ski.

Back in the room now. Mike just fetched coffee because my hip is done. Thank God for Tylenol.
