Epcot's Japanese Castle Refurb Permit

Master Yoda has posted an interesting permit filed that is for the refurbishment of the castle in the Japanese Pavillion of WS. As I recently posted this is one of the indicators we should be watching for since Disney seems to not want to pre-announce anything anymore.

So is everything I post really conjecture????:drevil: (i am not talking)

Also of note, the schematic shows the building is over 1 acre in size!

Could this be the start of something "BIG"??? :)

They shouldn't call it a castle at all. Since it is a replica of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
But it is a castle. A palace is just a residence of royalty, it doesn't describe the kind of building something is. The Imperial Palace refers to the whole estate, all the grounds, buildings, etc. The building in question is a castle on said palace grounds--formally called the Edo Castle.

Hm. They just finished a rather extensive refurb on the exterior of the palace/castle. Now there's a permit for more refurbishing? This is...most interesting! :drevil:

It'd be nice if there was something in the Japan pavilion other than an overpriced department store and a sushi bar.

I'm just sayin'.

There is, there's a sake tasting bar, there's a cs restaurant, and 2 full restaurants
And the Bijutsu-Kan Gallery. There's a different exhibit there just about everytime I get down to WDW.

And, of course, the entertainment: Miyuki, the candy artist, and Matsuriza, the drumming group.
