:wave: Have fun! We went to a Wal-Mart in Mexico, btw. Omg, what a nightmare! :lol:

That's what I've heard about the triple screen. I do see the pros to the amnio to rule things out...and you know difinitively the gender since they see the chromosomes.

Woot! Day off. Well when I picked up our vacation mail yesterday, there was a thing from my doc and they've already scheduled me for one at the end of the month. It's at 7am so I guess I won't go into work that day? :shrug::sohappy:
If I do it. I really do want to get more info from her tomorrow to make sure she thinks it's really necessary.
They did mine because of my age.

The questions that you have to ask yourself are, "What if there really is something wrong with the baby?" Would that change how you deal with it, or even keep it at all? Would you want to know anyways just to be prepared ahead of time? They're tough questions with no definite answer for each person.

When is your appt?

Omg, no kidding! Yikes! I agree about the anticipation. And I also realize that there are risks with so many things in this process. I just like to avoid unnecessary ones if at all possible :o

heh... wait till you take the glucose tolerance test.

:hurl::hurl::hurl:

Which I failed. Then I had to take the 3 hour test.

:hurl::hurl::hurl::hurl::hurl:

NOT fun. What kind of a sick ba$&%@# makes a pregnant woman starve herself and then chug extra syrupy orange soda on an empty stomach??

A Man, obviously. :rolleyes:

Good questions to ask yourself. My answer was to keep the baby at all costs.:sohappy: I had 3 healthly girls.:sohappy:

:sohappy::sohappy:

And that would be my answer too. Which is why it seems unnecessary. Except for to be able to prepare and inform ourselves, I suppose.

That's what we decided.

See look. We're almost up to 4000 already :D :lol:

yay!

the glucose test is later then if you fail it then you take the 3 hour one. When you know when that one is to be done don't have sweets for about a week. :zipit: it might help.

I was told under no uncertain circumstances not to change my diet in any way. If you really do have gestational diabetes it could be bad for both you and the baby. if you change your diet and get a false reading you're really doing both of you a disservice. :shrug:
