Trip Report It's Two, Two, TWO Trips in One! *COMPLETED*

Title reference for those of you younger than dirt ~

Got it? Good!

This trip report is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a picture of me and my significant other.

I invite you, if you dare, to follow along on a lengthy adventure that includes three resorts, lots of flowers, exotic food and a Fruber (a what?) Because this report travels directly to.........the Tuvalu Zone.

Yep, I'm rocking athletic shoes with my dress. But at least the colors match. :p

(And I hope the gals in the last row didn't pay for Memory Maker in hopes of getting a good FEA ride photo....cause they got screwed.)
I was tempted to cry out: "Auntie Em! Auntie Em!"

Grandma was taking a serious nap (shoe removal and hat placement indicate this was pre-meditated.) Upon awakening, she took a big swig from a flask.
I can't make this stuff up.
I just love reading your trip reports:inlove: So. Much. Fun.

Saturday, con't

Our original plan was to just "go with the flow" (;)) for lunch, but my planner self got the better of me last night and I found myself scrolling through available ADRs. There was one I just couldn't resist....and I knew would please Woody....so I booked it.

It required us leaving Epcot via the International Gateway.

Along the way we passed the "new" Yacht Club slide.

Since we are creatures of habit, no points will be given for guessing our lunch location.

View attachment 207932

We were seated in the same booth as last month!

View attachment 207933

And @fractal, I think we get another notch in our "celebrity" belt since we practically had this place to ourselves too!

View attachment 207935

We had a different server this time but he was just as awesome. I was allowed to get the menu-modified chicken sandwich I like. :)

View attachment 207938

Woody went with his old stand-by.
View attachment 207936

We both found our meals filling, but because it would be sacrilegious NOT to have ice cream at Beaches and Cream, we thought we could share something.

And I have the best hubby in the world since he agreed to my pick. Get ready to drool, @Courtney6682.......

Oh yeah! :hungry:

I've never seen a photo of B&C so empty! I'm convinced.

Looks yummy.

Saturday, con't

I went to sit at the Lava pool for a bit while Woody opted to watch auto racing and Kentucky Derby coverage. Then we got ready for dinner and walked the pretty path between the Poly and Grand Floridian.

Along the way we caught a glimpse of this fairytale moment.
IMG_6908.JPG

:greedy: :greedy: :greedy: (Confidential to @TrolleyFollower91: Marry rich, we ain't springing for this!)

Almost there!
IMG_6909.JPG

If you read my October trip report, you may remember the accolades I heaped upon the Grand Floridian Cafe. I said we'd be back and I am true to my word!

IMG_6911.JPG

I should play the lottery because for the second time in a day, we were seated at the same table as our last visit!

IMG_6913.JPG

(@fractal, the table in the upper left corner was the only other table occupied in the rotunda area where we sat. You'll have to trust me since I do not have photographic proof. Our celebrity status continues to grow. :joyfull: )

Yummy sourdough rolls to start the meal.
IMG_6912.JPG

Woody selected the NY Strip. It came with house made steak sauce, a change from chimichurri sauce. The loaded mashed potato was new too. Woody declared the entire plate "delicious."
IMG_6915.JPG

The Pan-Roasted Chicken Breast remained unchanged. I was one happy camper! :hungry:
IMG_6914.JPG

Service was very good and the restaurant was quiet, making for a very relaxing dinner. We skipped dessert knowing there would be sweets for us back in the lounge.

The boat dock was close by and we decided a romantic evening boat ride back to Poly would be a great way to cap off the night. We did not anticipate a nearly-full boat and being unable to sit together. :( (This was especially unfortunate for me because it was chilly!!!)

We grabbed our jackets from the room before watching Wishes from the Poly beach. This would be our last Wishes from the beach. I fully admit to tearing up.

A plateful of desserts made it better.

Why is the butter funny looking with "stuff" on the top of it? o_O I've been staring at this, totally perplexed.
It is unsalted butter sprinkled with sea salt....a very popular way to serve butter in Disney restaurants. Sometimes the salt is flavored. If you prefer salted butter (as I do) it is imperative to make sure some of the sea salt is on top of the pat of butter you spread on the bread.

o_O Whatever happened to normal butter, that didn't have bumps on the top? (Really, I'm such a hick. ;) :p )

Sunday, May 7

We were not in "rope drop rush" mode this morning and enjoyed a later leisurely breakfast in the lounge. Too bad this wasn't a no-park day because we could have had the Lava pool to ourselves. (A missed celebrity moment for sure!)

IMG_6917.JPG

On our way to the monorail we saw this unusual table set-up where merchandise kiosks typically reside.

IMG_6918.JPG

We later discovered it is the appetizer location for the "Highway in the Sky" monorail resorts dining package.

As we entered the MK, we saw a man sporting a t-shirt which said:
DISNEY FAN BY MARRIAGE

Woody gave me a knowing glance. I looked away. :joyfull:

We began in Adventureland.
IMG_6919.JPG

Queue details I never noticed before.

Having sat in the front row a few days ago and remained dry, Woody and I thought we would be safe from getting wet in Row 3.
IMG_6920.JPG

We were wrong.:arghh:

We got BLASTED by a water cannon. Upper body parts completely drenched.

Where to next?

IMG_6922.JPG

You can eliminate the top choice. Woody opts out of Splash Mountain because he doesn't like to get wet. However, this would have been a great time to ride Splash Mountain because we were already wet!!

Option 4 is not a bad guess since our potty breaks are more frequent in the morning. But we didn't need to rest yet.

Option 3 is a better guess because we do love our rides on the MPB.

Those of you that chose option 2 probably sensed we had a FP to burn......and you'd be correct!!

@Longers, Em's usually in charge of the BTMRR selfies ~ and I am not a good pinch hitter.
IMG_6923.JPG

UGGHHHH @BuddyThomas, turkey neck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To quickly erase that last image from your minds, please focus on the following Photopass pics.

I'm fairly certain we stopped at the Tangled toilets before our next attraction. ;)

IMG_6926.JPG

The interactive ending was not working today. :( I have a feeling that when the boats are backed up (which they were) the system can't operate properly.

On to our next FP ~

IMG_0596.JPG

The broken special effects.....notably Madam Leota.....still not fixed.
Still a good ride though!!

Try this again: kitty p o r n !!!!!!
So so funny!!!!!!!! :cat:
We were there at the same time but obviously didn't pay the up charge for private dining.:)
You could have been one of our groupies ;) :joyfull:

o_O Whatever happened to normal butter, that didn't have bumps on the top? (Really, I'm such a hick. ;) :p )
I thought New England didn't have hicks?

(It's a southern thing)

Hey, I've lived in both places so I'm allowed to say things like that!!!

Time for lunch! And Woody was about to become a very happy guy.

IMG_6927.JPG

Do you see it?
IMG_6928.JPG

His favorite Pot Roast is back on the lunch menu!

I'm not sure why LTT did not have both menus in a single menu jacket. Below is the "All You Care to Eat" option.
IMG_6929.JPG

But we found the last menu card the most unusual. We are not used to seeing alcoholic beverages for sale in the MK, except for wine (at dinner) at Be Our Guest.
IMG_6930.JPG

Note the empty tables behind me, @fractal ;) **
IMG_6935.JPG

(** another attempt to make y'all forget my turkey neck)

Speaking of turkey, the Pilgrim's Feast may not be an official menu item ~ but you can still request it.
Of course I did.

Woody's Pot Roast
IMG_6936.JPG

We're still perplexed as to the inclusion of Mexi-corn with both entrees. It's not exactly traditional Colonial food. o_O

And a few days after you dined at LTT @myhappyplace and @Mrhappyplace, Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake was being served in a cast iron skillet ~
IMG_6938.JPG

(And I noticed a current picture from @hakunamatata's live trip report that shows Ooey Gooey as a square, not round, dessert )

What's with the crazy inconsistencies? ? So strange. I so wish ours would've been in a skillet! No matter what, I will be going back here sometime!!

The "blustery" part of the day started upon our exit from FEA. Strong winds began to blow which lasted into evening. (I was tempted to cry out: "Auntie Em! Auntie Em!") We continued to admire the plantings and topiaries as we strolled the Promenade, though it was more stressful than we'd hoped. We had forgotten that Fridays in May are school field trip days, and there were elementary-aged kids everywhere. ("I wouldn't take my 3rd graders to Epcot for a thousand dollars!" Em said.)

Wish we could have adopted a Hakuna Matata attitude during our stroll.

In my house it is.
