Trip Report It's Two, Two, TWO Trips in One! *COMPLETED*

Title reference for those of you younger than dirt ~

Got it? Good!

This trip report is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a picture of me and my significant other.

I invite you, if you dare, to follow along on a lengthy adventure that includes three resorts, lots of flowers, exotic food and a Fruber (a what?) Because this report travels directly to.........the Tuvalu Zone.

MK was pretty crowded. We had no agenda other than dinner so we just walked around for a bit. We came upon the Riverboat which was due to set sail in a few minutes. It had been ages since we'd ridden the Liberty Belle so I suggested we climb aboard.

IMG_6806.JPG

I texted the next pic to Em and asked her to guess where we were. I can't remember if her first guess was right or wrong.

Another mother-daughter duo. Though not costumed like Belle or Cinderella, I'm not sure bounding as Minnie was the way to go.

And we're off!

Do you know where we had dinner?
IMG_6842.JPG

Pinocchio's Village Haus. The Haus suffers from the same issue as the other counter service locations in the MK ~
They can take the order, but they can't fill the order (at least not in a timely manner.) (Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference.)

Woody and I had the same thing ~ Chicken Parm sandwich and fries. With a side of purse carrots. :hilarious:

IMG_6843.JPG

We found a table in the Figaro room. Woody said it was an appropriate place for us to dine: "It feels like home with cats all around me!" :cat:

After dinner we meandered back down Main Street. We took the monorail back to the Poly, fearing the boat might be a cold ride now that the sun had set.

We stopped in the lounge to get my juice for the morning.
IMG_6779.JPG

We chatted briefly with Irv and got some dessert. Woody thought these chocolate peanut butter bars were da bomb so we brought a couple back to the room with us.
IMG_6780.JPG

The turn-down fairy had visited our room.
IMG_6785.JPG

And she left us GHIRARDELLI CHOCOLATES!!!! :hungry: :hungry: :hungry:

"Mine! Mine! Mine!"

I just love the Boardwalk queue of the standby line, so many fun details. My only complaint is how dark that area is. My lenses take awhile to "transition" back to clear and I am always stumbling around in the darkness.

Anyway, we found Nemo so all's good.
Mine, Mine, Mine, one of my favorite WDW Tee shirts. Luv the Gulls.

The photographer on the bridge to France looked lonely so we put him to work.

He got even with us though ~ he made us kiss. I am not posting the picture because when Em saw it she screamed, "My eyes! My eyes!"

I will not put you through that.

To be honest, it was a little awkward for us. Then the photographer insisted we hug: "Squeeze her hard!" I laughed nervously and this was the result ~

(Perhaps I shouldn't have posted this one either?)

Remember this serene scene from this morning?

Now it looked like this:

We decided we would complete the World Showcase circuit and return to the Poly for a break.

But first a stop at the London Loo.

Since we did not get to walk through Victoria Gardens earlier (it was closed) we took a short detour.

A final butterfly pic before we flew away.

Get a room! "My eyes, my eyes", hilarious Em. Still smiling. Such risqué photos, LOL.

Grandma was taking a serious nap (shoe removal and hat placement indicate this was pre-meditated.) Upon awakening, she took a big swig from a flask.

I can't make this stuff up.

THAT.IS.AMAZING! This is hilarious. Some people....

They can take the order, but they can't fill the order

Not sure if this is correct reference, but it reminds me of the Seinfeld episode in which Jerry reserved a rental car, but when he got there they didn't have any rental cars for him.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.....but I'm really a winner because I got to recall a hilarious Seinfeld moment - seriously, I've said to before (even in my honeymoon TR i think) and I'll say it again, EVERYTHING in life is a Seinfeld episode :D:rolleyes:

A thousand points for you!!!!
One of my friends who went to the beach with me (also a huge Seinfeld fan) just said on the way home, "You know, every situation has a Seinfeld reference."
I knew I liked you, @mlegerto. Even in spite of your Cooke's chicken tenders love. ;)

If my memory serves me correctly (don't hold me to it), there is/was a shrimp farm there?? When I was younger, I was surprised at what shrimp actually looked like uncooked. :hilarious:

Hasn't deterred me from eating them, though. :hungry:

I'm pretty sure there used to be shrimp in a couple of the watery tubes as you pass through the fish farm area. I also know that, back when The Living Seas was The Living Seas, in the post-show area there was a huge tank full of shrimp that you could walk right up to and observe just how different live shrimp look from cooked ones! I was surprised, too, and also like you, it sure didn't put me off eating them!!

Another mother-daughter duo. Though not costumed like Belle or Cinderella, I'm not sure bounding as Minnie was the way to go.

At least mom went with the age-appropriate "more material" version than the sundress daughter is wearing? :joyfull:

Afternoon snacks are served in the Club Lounge from 12-4 pm. We made it just in time to snatch a couple cookies and take a few pics before the CMs closed off the area and began removing the food.

This "snack" spread was exceptionally larger this year than last year. I certainly can't #BlameShanghai for it!

The first thing I noticed when we entered our room was a large bottle of Dasani.
View attachment 206001
It was a nice touch, considering no bottled water is available in the Club Lounge. I thought at first it was probably one bottle per stay, but a new bottle appeared each day after Mousekeeping had serviced the room.

Look, @MinnieM123 ~ another clock!!!!!

@TrolleyFollower91 had texted me earlier Too bad you weren't at the Poly last night there were late night fireworks.
Sure enough, she was right.

WE MISSED A TEST RUN OF HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!! :arghh:

On the bright side, we were happy that our request for a third floor room was honored. As longtime readers know, sitting out on a balcony is an important part of our vacation! This balcony was very private.

We unpacked and relaxed before returning to the Lounge for Happy Hour.
Wow! That was a super nice "snack" spread.:hungry: When we had stayed in the club rooms (last time was 3 years ago), at the Boardwalk the snack during lunch hours was just some cheeses, crackers, chips, and cookies. Wonder if they upgraded there as well?
