I think it's the "depression" that sits in when you leave. For example I leave Cedar Point at the end of the day I tell myself I had a great day and will surely take some memories with me. When I leave Sea World I am happy. When I leave Universal I know I had a great day and obviously would still love to come back.

But when I leave a Disney park a bittersweet feeling of happiness and depression sweeps over me. It happens to an extent with Epcot, DHS and Animal Kingdom but the place that really hits home to me is Magic Kingdom. I get a sad feeling walking out of the gates and onto the Ferry. As we drive across the lake I always look back the whole time wondering when I will ever come back and the unknown is a scary thing. Funny huh? It's almost I am leaving a dear friend and don't know when we'll see each other again. There's something about taking that boat away from that fantasy world that transports you back into the real world.

Besides the obvious ear to ear smile from day 1 till the time I leave...it's the only place I can truly relax and NOT think about work - not ever! Not until I get back in my car to come that is! LOL

The smell of the Disney buses (can be duplicated w/Tide Mountain Spring in a hot load of laundry...at least I think so)
The music of Space Mountain queue.
The sounds of Rock N Roller Coaster when sitting in the car about to take off (We only just getting started! 5-4-3-2...)
The taste of Minnies Bake Shop cookies
Sitting in Spaceship Earth. The sights, sounds, smells...all of it.

The music really does it for me. Hearing the Future World loop and Soarin' loop. I can picture myself there. Cannot wait to go back!

I was showing my husband our plan for our Nov 2011 trip, and he said that he got that "sad feeling" when he looked at eating our last meal at Mickey's Backyard BBQ. We did that last year, and he said he already feels depressed about going home! And it's not until November 20, 2011!
