Trip Report It's going to be a magical-why is it so hot-where is the churro cart-as it happens trip report.

Going to try to post live goings on as we spend two days at Uni and eight days at WDW.

Where - Pop Century
When - now (well as soon as we land)
Who - Mrs. 'Matata, son and daughter and Mother in law.

Notables:

First time ADRs at BOG and Nine Dragons.

Daughters first trip after conquering fear of roller coasters.

Sons first trip tall enough to ride everything.

First trip with the FP+, MDE, Memory Maker options. So far have not experienced any glitchy ness.

Following along! How are the crowds? Would love to go for Star Wars weekends but I worry the large number of people would ruin it. My family and I are huge Star Wars nerds.

We got done at the studios around 5ish and headed to DTD to pick up a few things and check out the Boathouse area. We went to a few of the shops including the Marvel and Harley store. Picked up a couple Harley T's and poker chips. It was stormy tonight so we came back to the resort for dinner.

A couple of general observations.

  • Far fewer ECVs than I anticipated seeing.
  • That being said, to the old bag on the ECV speeding to the bus stop at downtown Disney that almost ran over my son who was walking hand in hand next to me and rolled your eyes at us, I would imagine drinking a margarita while driving your ECV is prolly not the safest thing to do.
  • Far too many parents attempting to reason with their children in melt down mode. Swat the backside, release their pent up tension, move on.
  • Helpful hint: don't look a different direction than you are walking. If you are stationary, look the direction you are going to walk prior to walking.
  • The Joffrey's Whiskey Sour Lemonade is quite tasty

Today we are going back to the MK. We had FP for Buzz this morning, then Spash and JC. I realized two days ago that I failed to get FP for 7DMT. This morning I checked and there was FP available for 7D tonight so after working some magic on the MDE app, we now have 7D, BTMR, and Splash. MK is open until midnight so we will likely work in JC, HM, and Pirates with add on FPs.

Say what you want. The new FP+ works really good for those who don't want to be up at the butt crack of dawn to make it to the parks. Those that do can likely rampage through the attractions with the add on process. They just need to get to the point where you can add on from the app.
