Happy Mardi Gras everyone :)

I'll be in the French Quarter on a balcony at Bourbon and St Peter Monday nite; at the Krazy Korner. I was there Friday nite, had a blast, and I must say-----girls, keep your tops on!
A girlfriend wants me to go get body painted Mardi Gras day----I don't think there is enough liquor in the world to get me that brave.

so if anyone visits New Orleans, holler at me---------I'll throw ya something!

My grandma's from Metairie, and a few of the family still live there. We literally have crates upon crates of beads from parades they've sent us over the years. I went there when I was 6, and loved every minute. :p

I'm probably the only one in my school that celebrates or even recognizes Mardi Gras. (Or, for that matter knows how to spell "paczki".) I baked some purple/green/gold cupcakes for class tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this is the first Mardi Gras I've had without my grandpa. He's the one that always stands out in my mind as THE Mardi Gras guy.

At least he gets to see all the parades this year. ;)

I think I've recouped from the festivities now! Friday nite was a blast; dancing, catching up with old classmates, and some kids I grew up with. I had a bottle of Jagermeister and just paced myself. No drinking 'til he's cute for me. Some girls though, should really keep their tops down; definitely not 'real and spectacular'. I was glad to see law enforcement everywhere. I really felt safe. Monday nite saw thicker crowds but still managable. I will definitely be on a balcony from now on.

bring on St. Paddy's Day and Parasols!

Hi, guys!!!
Carnival has just finished here in Brazil, and I had a great time at the parades!!!! The floats here are huge (like ... as tall as a 6-story building), and each parade can have like 1500 people. It's serious business for many people here. I usually don't like such things, but... I paraded this year and had lots of fun!!
