True, a Mary Poppins-themed ride might work better; but with a revamped Toad, the cars could careen through 19th-century London, which would have some educational value...maybe...possibly...probably not
Have any of you actually driven in London? I expected cobbled roads and fog everywhere. It was more like a modern day Toad!

When I was there last week (12/9), the construction walls had been pushed out to be flush with the standing walls, and there was a TON of noise coming from behind it. I can't wait to see the finished results.

Does anyone know if they are also going to use the same above ground canal thing (hopefully you guys understand what I mean) that they use in Disneyland's IASW?

oOastrexOo - welcome to the boards! As far as the comments on these boards go, the layout of the channel the ride system uses will be the same, and will also be the same level (appearing below ground from Fantasyland, but more or less at actual ground level) and still have load/unload undercover. The load `backdrop`, however, apparently will be based on the California version this time.

Sigh... so much for you to learn new DVC Cast Member...

Disney never opens attractions on the Grand Opening Date for the first time. They always open earlier for testing purposes and such. :)

(Pending No Test Track-ish glitches of course. :) )

It doesn't matter if it opens or not, you should all shower me with gifts as March 18th is my 24th birthday.

EDIT: This is in response to PoohBear's post on the first page regarding the old pictures in IASW.....I forgot to hit "Quote"

I believe they have (or had) some light up pictures that are vintage-y like that at the end of the Living with the Land ride. I could be wrong, but I remember seeing pictures similar to the IASW ones somewhere in Epcot.
To tell you the truth, I loved them too. I love old stuff like that.
