Okay, what did that have to do with the "its a small world" rehab?

I was initially goin to say "stick a bear into SM and give me a gun" but that was too far fetched, so I went realistic and said "what the heck" and posted it anyways. Does that make you feel any better?

An employee told me that anyone who values his job doesn't take pics inside IaSW. Apparently, Disney is seriously trying to keep the refurb a secret. They must consider IaSW more important than SGE (could you blame them?), considering that SGE pics were floating around long before it opened.

By the way, the IaSW refurb is only the first of a new program at WDW to preserve the classic attractions.

Too bad they didn't do this with Toad instead of wiping it out with Pooh.

they should put toad in the uk pavillion. Toad is british, Kenneth Grahaem was british. Plus it's an awesome ride.

Toad in the UK.... Hmmm.. They have the space - even with the `temporary` millenium pavilion (the UK was supposed to get a Crystal Palace style building with a stage show in the mid 80`s)

Yeah, Toad would go well in the UK pavilion. Of course, that would only contribute to EPCOT Center's transformation into the fantasy-laden Epcot; but if that's the way it's going, why not add Toad?

As for the "temporary pavilion," the UK pavilion is a whole lot more welcome than the "temporary" arm/wand structure (which is aesthetically disgusting!).

It seems like Baxter works almost exclusively with Disneyland Resort these days. He is one of the great Imagineers that i admire. Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y S-T-O-R-Y S-H-O-W

True, a Mary Poppins-themed ride might work better; but with a revamped Toad, the cars could careen through 19th-century London, which would have some educational value...maybe...possibly...probably not

Actually, it was 20th century london. It was set i think in the victorian times... But i don't know how nice that would be-typhoid, stinking streets e.t.c. But nevertheless- GO MARY!

You know what I like, even though it is pretty corny. The photo of those children from around the world that was on the right hand side wall as you went up the ramp and exit the ride. I thought it gave it an old-fashioned touch. I am sure that will be long gone though. Oh well! I am excited to see the finished project. Hopefully I will be able to get down there next year in the spring or summer.

In the mid 80's, I can remember when they put those pics up at the exit of IaSW. The kids featured in the pictures were around my age at the time. Now it's been funny over the years to see myself grow up and see how dated those kids are. I wonder if they come to WDW and see their picture up and think the same thing...

I'm sad to see them go though!
