yeh, i really dont think that we need to get on the argument about what is real in the real world and what is in the world of disney. im sure that you could compile a very lengthly list of person/places/things that dont exist in the real world.

oh, im sure that a kangaroo can be purple with flowers all over it in the real world if you ate enough drugs. :rolleyes:

The new kangaroo reminds me of something I saw last year. I was in vermont for a weekend trip and anyone who has been to VT knows their *downtown* are very small and countryish. Well they were having this event not quite sure of the name of it (it looked like the 75 years of mickeys with all the painted mickeys) the only difference is it was llamas and i swear there was one painted just like that. yellow and floral. :lookaroun

That's, of course, like the famous cows that toured all over. In Brandon, near here, they did it with Manatees, and in Venice, also near here, they did it with pigs.
But none compare with my beloved kangaroo.

They also have some cows at the giant McDonalds on International Drive. A New York themed one and... I want to say a western one.

thumblekisses, i don't like it either. i think it seems like the ride has changed a lot, design-wise. the color palette & mood seem different, and i don't think mary blair would approve.

So sad for my dear little kangaroo. If they MUST change her pattern, couldn't they at least do a good job? Or maybe this is a transitional period for her, and that the purple star-things will come off when a new (and hopefully comparably tacky) pattern emerges. Plain jane simply will not do.

But purple with flowers and plaid is STILL my favorite! ::stamps feet::

I'm with TK. I like the older design of the Kangaroo. Added to the whimsical theme of IASW. :)
