Pre-Trip It bodes well for me if speed impresses you

In what possibly (and I stress "possibly"), may be the quickest return to WDW that even the exalted @Tuvalu may not have achieved, I will be returning to the parks!

My return from my most recent trip will be 28 days. I will await @Tuvalu 's response to know if she has returned quicker than that. My confidence is high that she most likely has. Could I have messaged her to find out? Sure. But where's the fun in that!

Was this trip planned. Nope. How did it come about?

My good friend who has many DVC contracts and rents out rooms called me about a reservation he had for Boardwalk, (water view) that he needed to rent and it was less than 30 days out so canceling would be a hassle. He offered me an extremely tempting price and I couldn't say no.

But first, I had to run it by the young, hot ball and chain, aka my wife!

Did she say yes? No. Did she say she would think about it? Yes!

Quick back story on my wife. She does not care for Orlando weather between May and October. Any of the other months she is game! I reminded her that this trip would be in her "good to go" window and that she should join me! The seeds of temptation were planted. I let them marrinate without any further discussion for 48 hours.

I currently have several dogs that would be good prospects for training at Disney as well.

Also, keep in mind we have a 10+ day trip booked for the Christmas Holliday. I wasnt sure if she would be cool with travelling down soon only to return within a month and a half.

Did I leave Disney park walk through videos playing on the TV when I left for work each day (before she woke up) in a subtle effort to narcissistically manipulate her emotions? Of course!!

Did it work??????

It will be nice to actually see C (see what I did there :hilarious:) at WDW again!
Shes very excited. She tries to act like shes doesn't love Disney as much as she truly does. But since we booked the trip shes been online ordering new stuff to bring down and messaging me during the day with things she wants to do.

Not too much to update with the exception of making a reservation (not (ressie 🤢) at Trattoria Al Forna. Ive eaten there before and loved it. C has not eaten there so shes excited to give it a whirl.

A few years ago we were at WDW during this week of the year and our phones have been popping up the old memories photos so it's been a boost for her excitement. Shes also been ordering outfits for the trip. I stopped looking at the Amazon and Disney shop orders last week as my head was spinning lol.

I tease her because as I mentioned prior, she tries to act like she doesnt love WDW as much as she does but whenever she actually decides to visit, she gets SOOO excited as it approaches. And unlike me, she is packed and ready in advance.

I keep some of my work and golf shirts hanging in our laundry room but the other day she called me to notify me they have all been cleared out so she can hang dry her new Disney outfits.

We are T-Minus 2 days until we depart!

Did C (my wife) come down with a nasty cold last week that is still keeping her in bed? Unfortunately, yes. Shes on the mend but still running a fever and just overall very sluggish. We are hoping the next 2 days will be enough recovery time for her to be well enough to travel.

Is her cold preventing her from online shopping? Not one bit lol! I came home yesterday to this box on the table

I was only a few steps in the house and she immediately broke out in excitement to show me her new "must have" items for our upcoming Disney trips. This box was basically Cinderella themed items.

This wallet thingy also has Little Mermaid amd BaTB but its apparently part of a set. Theres a second wallet beneath it.

I stood in our kitchen as C excitedly described each item and its reason for being "essential". It was nice to see her feeling better for a few minutes even if it was just from the energy boost of her newly acquired Disney gear.

For fun, I slipped in a "how much did this cost" with a big smile and head tilt that even Bach would be proud of. She quickly replied with "dont worry about that" as she hurriedly moved on to describe the next item in the box. I could only laugh as she was as happy as a kid on Christmas morning with new toys.

After show and tell, her energy quickly faded and it was back to bed.

She did join me when I ate dinner and we watched the new Welcome to Derry TV show based of IT (Stephen King). It was pretty good IMO.

We've been mulling over additional dining reservations but im leaving that up to her. I did request that id like to check out the new Burboun bar at Swan and Dolphin that replaced Shulas. Id prefer to just get a drink at the bar to feel it out and if we like the vibe perhaps return for dinner.

Im off to work but will update soon. Have a great day everybody! And oh ya, here's Akira (one of our dogs) in her Haloween costume
