It’s All About the Baby! A Gigi & Papaw take the Grandbaby Trip Report- 11-25-11-30

We just got back last night, but I am so excited to start this trip report.

At the last minute, his mom decided to let him go with us so we basically changed everything.

And it was Amazing!

I was born a Disney lover, I think- but it was taking my son the first time (my first trip too) that solidified the almost insane degree of love I have for it. The baby has been, last year, but he was so much smaller, this was just at that perfect age. He loved everything! Just like his daddy did 20 years ago. Getting to experience it again and see it through his eyes- priceless and only comes in second to taking my first, best Disney buddy. (His daddy) Actually it might be a tie.

We started with a day at the beach, so we would not have such a long ride- (we left a very cold ice storm here)

It was too cold to play in the water of course, but the toes. He still had an awesome time.

We got up at 3:00 am to beat traffic. Cool pics of the trees at Jekyll when we left.

We arrived at Coronado Springs at a little after 7:00 am. Was hoping room would be ready, but should have known better it being the time of year it was. A quick freshen up in the bathrooms and we headed straight to MK!




We chose the Ferry so he could watch the castle get closer. Then off to Buzz!

Donald pointed at Daisy from behind, came up, pointed to the baby, then her. Motioned like what is going on here. She made the motions like but he is so cute, and made a heart to him, kissed him then Donald- we got the sweetest pic. They are always the best here and no exception this time!

He found, Mickey through the years, Band Leader, Cinderella, Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Bambi, Snow White. I only had 2007- Toy Story, Cars, Pirates, Nightmare Before Christmas in the Storybook. To say I was tickled to death, would be an understatement.

After we ate, we went to see some bugs. He was not scared at all!

So glad we got the 20th pic at AK this time, in September there was dangerous wildlife present. So we do not get pic. Our 1st visit was November 98. AK 20 holds a special spot in our ‘s. That he did the paw? Even so much more special.

We canceled FoP fp, who wants to ride it alone? Especially when you can enjoy a little fella? Not us.
Headed out, and totally changed the next day. Cape May, was late and did not wanna walk him through Epcot to the Boardwalk, or waste time driving there. ‘Ohana breakfast, a full MK day, and I ate at Tony’s to not have to wait for parade. All about the baby!
This made me sad..

Out like a light, with Gigi’s blanket.

And the only gripe I had. I don’t use the bath products, I do take soap home and use it. This is so nasty though and why I would never use products in these pumps. Crushed bottle, with shampoo or whatever, dried on bottle day one, never touched the whole time. Disgusting and not acceptable.

I fell 100% in love with Disney World, through the eyes of a toddler- my son, with just his daddy, and I. To do it again- a repeat, almost. If I thought I loved it, all these years... I love it more.

Dang it, we will be there in one week, I read they were changing to these pumps but had not seen any pics till yours. I do like to use their products but will not any longer. Bummer

Call them out day one if it isn’t clean. I just wanted to see if they would replace or clean. They did not. I am too germaphobic to use the bottles and that just completely confirmed why I am. And Thank you, he is my baby!

Finally all caught up on your trip report! The first time we went in March, we got to experience their lake effect winds and it was soooo cold!! Luckily, we drove from a colder state (which is also looking at snow this Sunday!) so we had winter clothes and jackets. But many people did not and were buying sweatpants and shirts. So when we went back this past March, I knew to be prepared just in case. My SIL told her husband to pack a couple pair of pants but he was convinced FL never got cold so he only packed shorts and was too stubborn to buy a pair of pants when a few days were very chilly LOL.

We finished eating and headed here-
Crowds were low that morning and it was nice. I finally was able to take some decent pictures. I love the Poinsettias. They are one of my favorite things about Christmas decorations.

I had not walked through the castle in years. I forgot how pretty it is.

I'm originally from the mountains of Virginia The 2009-2010 winter was horrible!!! Our first snowstorm of the season that year was around December 9, 2009 and it turned out to be a blizzard. Which was only the first blizzard that winter. I still have nightmare flashbacks to that season. I had to use a broken shovel all winter because they were sold out everywhere. It was so bad that people were actually stealing shovels that people kept on their front porch!!! It was so bad lol. I'm now near Williamsburg, which usually doesn't get as much snow, but since I moved here, my hometown hasn't gotten much snow and we've gotten in all. I kid you not!! Oh, I remember December 2009 well. Too well lol, we got around 17 inches the middle of December then another 13 Christmas Day. It was an odd year to do that much in December. Granted, the Christmas Day was beautiful but it didn’t melt in the front yard until Spring because it kept on and on! The kids were out of school well before Christmas break and well after New Year’s Day. I also realized that it was also the last year I went to Walt Disney World in November! I was probably in the process of writing that report at the time it hit. We also moved a little bit further south about 12 years ago and it seems that we get more here than the literal foot of the mountain where we used to live. Go figure...

I don’t think I have ever taken photos on IaSW, except when boarding. He liked it so much, I made sure to so he can remember it.

I know it was just bathrooms but I love the Tangled area.

We made our way around to go Under the Sea-

Then it was back to Barnstormer!
