Hey everyone...It's me again. I was just at the parks today, and I have yet another update. Today, I went to MK, AK, and then met up with Kenan and went to MGM. So here are some updates.

My first stop was the Magic Kingdom.

--Stitch's Great Escape shirts are still being sold. When I was there last time, the lady was taking them off the rack, but they are still being sold. They have 2 styles. One was the one that was in my update last week, and the second one was an (ugly) tied dyed shirt, with a SGE logo on the back.
--Cinderella Castle painting has already began. If you go on any of the bridges by the castle, you can see right down into the scaffolding. I couldn't see any of the actual golden color, but it smelled like paint, and they may be putting primer on it now.
--Since the Philharmagic line is almost always out the door, and extended queue ropes are almost always set up, and sign was added in the middle of the sidewalk, separating "Fastpass" and "Standby" when the lines get really long.
--Rehab of the Ariel's Grotto tent is also still going on.
--Nothing new at 20K
--The Tomorrowland Stage has been demolished, and concrete has been poured over the area where the stage once stood. However, a small section was left unpaved, maybe for a much smaller stage?
--The new Toontown Station may be ready to open as soon as next week. It looks finished to me. It looks like the exact same size, design, and colors as before...Just seemed like a waste of money to me.
--The top of the Tinkerbell's Treasures shop is being refurbed.
--I rode Splash Mountain today, and I was surprised to see that EVERYTHING worked. The Hopping AA, The jumping fish, the sweeping rabbits...everything worked. EXCEPT (Man, I was on a roll too lol) the waterfall near the end of the ride. It was turned off.

I left MK and went over to AK (after eating a PopTart on the Contemporary Roof). While I was at Contemp, I noticed that some of the pool area is under rehab...again!

--I went by Everest at AK, and it is coming along great. I can actually see where the car will be put in reverse now. If you even wanna try to understand this : From the way I see it, the train will go up the lift, go down a very small drop, and turn left and do a 180 degree turn. After that, there is a straight-away, and then a slope upward (the tangled mess of track). I'm guessing here, that the train will go up the slope, stop, then reverse (while the straight away switched tracks). If that is true (and from looking at it, I don't see how it can't be true) That means the helix on the right side of most of the pictures will be backwards...Actually, most of the track that is visible would be backwards. Just a very educated guess.
--The Cookie Cabin in Camp Minnie Mickey has been closed ever since it has come out of rehab.
--The waterfall coming off the backside of the Tree Of Life was not operating, and blue tarps were surrounding it.

I was at AKL, and I was able to find the only vending machines on property, that still sell cans for 1$. They are at the very end of the hall, covered by swinging doors (I don't know how anyone staying there can find these things)

So I went over to MGM...
--The RNRC gift shop has been rearranged. A register was removed, and merchandise was put in its place.
--The (CRAZY...lol Kenan) CM at the Animation Tour confirmed that they are transforming the old area where animators did their work, into a hands on, interactive exibit. It will most likely be a clone of the DCA Animation Tour. She said it should be open by the end of the year.
--Not an update, but I went by and saw my friend Andrea, who just started working at MGM. She said she likes it, and she is having alot of fun.

But that is it for today. Pictures will be up soon of "Cin Cin's Bling Crib" or as others call it, the castle painting, and a few other pictures will be put up soon.

Thanks as always for your updates!! They're so exciting.

Good to hear about Splash Mountain and the rehabs going underway. But why doesn't Disney just open the unused space INSIDE the Philharmagic queue?? :brick:

 I still swear that's one of the funniest things you've ever said, haha.

Anyways, great update buddy. That Everest part confused the heck out of me though, lol.

*Can't wait till July 12th :D*

the DCA tour is fun....me and my friend Rebecca really enjoyed it when we were out at Disneyland in May.
Man Patrick, that lady in the second room had no fun to her voice.
Alex, July 12...

I love implications from a certain lady about the song, Everytime....

Great update buddy!

Do have any thoughts that the part where you go backwards has any sort of hydrolic simulators under it? Because my theory on the ride is that you go up the hill that you were talking about, then you see a large Abonidable Snowman AA in front of you. He grabs the train ( seat vibrators give more of a feeling ) that's when the brakes hold the train in place. The Abonidable move the train around a bit ( track moves around ) then the Maelstrom effect comes in and the track switches to a different track some how and go through the rest of the ride backwards. See what I mean?

How were the lines for major attractions today?
Hmm...Nothing really over an hour...55 and 45 for everything big.

Imagineer Boy - The track reversal sections have a large black platform under them. It's really going to be something, and the backwards part looks really long too.

This makes me a little worried about the hourly capacity for Everest. If it has to stop and turn around twice (yes, I am assuming that it does eventually go forward again), wouldn't this limit the number of trains online at any moment for safety reasons? That line is going to be huge.

Revenge of the Mummy does this (though for a much shorter distance, I'm sure) and it seems to have a respectable capacity.

Yeah, not to mention that Maelstrom has this sort of thing too, and its capacity is pretty good.

I wouldn't compare Maelstrom to what EE is.

It's been a few weeks, but isn't Maelstrom a free floating vessel (just with guiderails)?

Everest is going to be much more difficult, with making sure all the wheels, safety features, etc make the transition correctly.

Revenge of the Mummy has a great capacity, but I was disappointed with it. It could have been a lot better. And the backwards part... that's NOTHING. The coaster part... seemed to me like R'n'RC with no inversions, and mummies and fireballs instead of hollywood signs. Well, there's nothing like Disney.

MGM is gonna be sweet by the end of this year. New Animation exhibit, which was great at DCA, a new Streets of America with The Osbourne Lights, then Stunt Show opening months after that.
