I want to know why I didn't get a hellow :( I was at space ALL DAY...well not all day but till like 7 or something haha
I was really thinking about going on, but the wait was at 30 minutes, and I was sweating bullets, so I got a FP for Splash instead.

As for the reversing on Everest...It may take more time than the reversal of the Mummy, but with the number of guests in the train (compared to that of the Mummy) it should all equal out. And the track switches in almost the exact same way as Maelstrom does.

Everest will not have any capacity issues. Disney has a keen ability for having 4 or 5 trains on a roller coaster at a given time, so I would expect this to work the same way.

Revenge of the Mummy has a great capacity, but I was disappointed with it. It could have been a lot better. And the backwards part... that's NOTHING. The coaster part... seemed to me like R'n'RC with no inversions, and mummies and fireballs instead of hollywood signs. Well, there's nothing like Disney.

You're from Brazil and have rode it before me. I asked my wife begrudingly, when should go over to ride the Mummy, just to get it over with, as our season pases expires in a few weeks.

As good as the ride may/may not be, the source material is crap-ola. Last thing I want to see is Brendan Fraiser. (well maybe the 2nd last thing over mkt)

This makes me a little worried about the hourly capacity for Everest. If it has to stop and turn around twice (yes, I am assuming that it does eventually go forward again), wouldn't this limit the number of trains online at any moment for safety reasons? That line is going to be huge.

You obviously don't pay much attention to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. In order for the trains to reach their not being used platform (which is beyond the berm), the trains have to go into the station, the track needs to quickly switch, then the train goes backwards next to the RR track before crossing another switch where it drops 10 feet into the platform. To make sure the train can get over the hill both directions, LIMs are used to keep it in order.

Anyway, the trains on Everest wont turn around on a turn table. It would be too ineficient. It will just be switches like on BTMRR or like the scarab room on the Mummy.

great update. Sounds like things on Everest are coming together nicely and it sounds like MGM will be fixed up quite nice by the end of the year. Now all we need is a lot of work on Epcot and MK.

I have never seen so many rehabs going on in one park, as there is going on at MK right now.

This is true but there are still a lot of things that need done. I was very happy to hear that everything on splash mountain except that waterfall was working (I hate that waterfall anyway). Did this include the water jets that jump across the path of the boats? Those havent been working for a long time. When I was there at the beginning of this month, the hopping AA, sweeping rabbits, jumping fish and projection of brer fox as you are going up the lift were not working, among other things.

When I was on Splash Mountain last week, Brer Flox right before the second drop was only making hummng high pitched noise instead of talking. Infact, most things on the ride were not working.

Thanks for the great update. I didn't think they'd start painting the castle this early, I hope they don't add any more scaffolding until after my visit!

May 5, 2005, for the start of Disney's Golden Celebration

I thought they changed the name back so it reflects only on Disneyland? I know I read that somewhere... like on Mice Age or something.
