Saw somewhere these are leaving feb 17...
I am absolutely wondering if this is one of those fake news kind of threads..We spent Thanksgiving at WDW, and I swear I was in Tomorrowland a half a dozen times , rode space at least 4 times during that week, did COP and People Mover too ...I just have no recollection of seeing cabanas in that area. How did I miss the eyesore?
I was there the last week of November and 1st week of December. This thread was going pretty strong then and I posted that in 3 days I didn't notice them..Went during Christmas. While I saw them there, I wouldn't call them noticeable by any means, and wouldn't blame any one for not recognizing what they were.
They are real.
By the way, I'm not questioning that you didn't notice them. I'm fully aware that lots of guests are focusing on other things or are too busy getting to their next FP to see them. I hope you had a great trip and I'm glad that you didn't have to see them!
So Disney is charging their guests apxx $500-700 per day to relax and unwind in what you yourself just described as "a maintenance area for something that has to be fixed"...a maintenance area for something that has to be fixed
Here's hoping!Saw somewhere these are leaving feb 17...

Yet you mock those that think the cabanas are ridiculous.
Are you sure that's what you saw? They have set up booths for Festival of the arts. I was at Epcot on Sunday and didn't see any cabanas. Was at EPCOT on Thursday saw quite a few of them did not see any in use. Only park that I noticed they were there in.
Doesn't mean they don't stick out like a sore thumb...This post made me very happy to read. I'm glad that you now accept that not everyone is noticing them
I'll save my happy dance for the day someone in the parks says they are gone. I am so darned happy that this was a fail.So apparently the MK cabanas are going away on Feb 17th.
I know...shocking isn't it
Maybe just maybe they were enjoying their holiday and not looking out for these "sore thumbs" .Doesn't mean they don't stick out like a sore thumb...
Also, are you insinuating that I am accepting defeat or some nonsense? I still think it's incredibly surprising that some people manage to not notice them. I guess if you haven't visited in a long time and are rushing from FP to FP then maybe... but someone who is aware of them and manages to somehow never notice them is just impressive.
I understand that which I mentioned in an above post. I still think they stick out whether you're looking for them or not.Maybe just maybe they were enjoying their holiday and not looking out for these "sore thumbs" .
Fair enough. In my opinion they don't really stand out all that much.I understand that which I mentioned in an above post. I still think they stick out whether you're looking for them or not.

Impressive? Or are they just lying? I do not believe for one moment that a person who was actively participating in this thread just a few days prior to their trip did not see them or purposely seek them out within a few minutes of entering Tomorrowland just to satisfy the minds curiosity.but someone who is aware of them and manages to somehow never notice them is just impressive.
What I do not understand is this push for "customized and personalized" vacations? They need to go back to the basics
“A word may be said in regard to the concept and conduct of Disneyland’s operational tone. Although various sections will have the fun and flavor of a carnival or amusement park, there will be none of the ‘pitches,’ game wheels, sharp practices, and devices designed to milk the visitor’s pocketbook.” – Walt DisneyWhat I do not understand is this push for "customized and personalized" vacations?
