Is there a better way to start any trip, thats more exciting then getting on the DME??

Boarding DME is definitely one of the best feelings of the trip. But, I think my favorite, favorite, favorite feeling is boarding the boat from WL the first morning on the way to MK. IMO, that tops DME. Don't get me wrong, I love DME, but I really love that first boat ride. And, it's not just the boat ride - on all of my trips - that first ride to MK (whether by bus, boat or mono) - that's the most exciting thing for me. :)

Well, this only holds true if you're flying into Orlando International Airport but the little airport monorail you take to the baggage claim from the terminal gates is where I think it really starts to settle in and then waiting for the Magical Express. I've only used DME once so far but it's a nice convenience shuttle to have where you don't have to fork over additional money for a taxi.

We have used the DME and it's so exciting. The video playing and all the little kids(including my own) getting riled up. The last time we rode it there was only about 2 or 3 other familes on the bus with us and my husband and I started singing. I can't remember what song,but our daughter was practically laying on the floor in embarrassment, but all the other adults started singing with us. It was a lot of fun.

Can't say I get pumped but I do enjoy the fact that I have just left the other world behind. My bags are taken care of, my route to the World is in someone else's hands and I can now relax to enjoy my trip. In less than 45 mins, I can be at my resort and in approx. 90 mins. be in a park. All this with no traffic or route headaches and the bonus of watching the excited kids as they make their journey into the World.

My excitement starts when I hear the flight attendant say *Welcome to Orlando* and I get giddy as soon as I see those huge white hands waving at me!!! The first step up on DME, I swear I choke back tears! LOL

That truly is a great one kcheatly. We have been to WL and Poly and that first boatride to MK is very magical moment

We drive so we don't use DME. It's a 3.5 hour drive and we stop about half way for bathroom breaks and snacks along the Turnpike rest stops. When we see Mickey at the Ft Pierce rest stop we know what's ahead. We usually play Disney music the second half of the drive and countdown when we can see the welcome sign and scream "we're in Disney" once we enter the property.

I love the DME, when I board it I'm ov vacation no driving, parking, worrying about the car hassles, I just relax I'm on my way to WDW. On the ride back to MCO that's when I know my vacation is over.
