Rumor Is the End of Innoventions Near?

Given their responses in various other threads for the last week or two, my bet is troll. One that knows enough about Disney and the usual discussions to make it seem potentially innocuous at times, but troll never the less. Don’t feed.
Yeah, I wasn't on the boards as much for a few weeks but I did seem to notice a handful of rather abrasive posts from this particular poster since I've returned.

New logos - oooooh!

But basically, just what we already know about the Spine project. The good and the bad.

I hate that phrase “More Disney, more family-friendly” though. Urgh! Families can like Epcot without needing IPs everywhere, why can’t they understand that? (That’s a rhetorical question btw).

I've had friends straight up ask me "why are there so many characters here? I'm not a kid" when it comes to Epcot. If your attractions are good enough, you don't need to stoop down and include IP. If you're lazy (or budget limited) and unsure of your work then sure, stick something in there to ensure max ROI.

ROI also includes assets that are IP. Otherwise you start calculating individual classes of assets like shrubbery.

This is a weird complaint I find about epcot and "IP."

They tried to go for characters. But in wrestling terms they never got over. Had they been popular who knows maybe they'd have gotten a film like pirates or HM.

So bring in the mouse.

They also posted this image when they mentioned the new logos.

Why would they call the building that is in the east of the park west, and the building in the west of the park East? It would make no sense? East and West aren't relative, they are fixed. Maybe you'd prefer Innoventions Left and Innoventions Right? But then that gets confusing if you're facing SSE....

Since guest areas are considered to be "on stage" they should be called Innoventions Stage Left and Innoventions Stage Right.

I thought I said it in perfectly english, but it's obvious you guys aren't understanding it. If I said to my Grandpa whose a first time visitor.

"Grandpa meet me in Innoventions West". He would think he'd have to go left. But because Disney goes from a birds eye view direction and what it is based on the world map for Epcot it is the opposite.

I thought at least one of you would get it, but oh well. I'll try to describe things better for you guys in the future.

This makes no sense. It has nothing to do with a Bird's eye view. There is only one direction called "West". It doesn't change because of the way the park is oriented, or because you
think it's confusing.

The irony of this statement is just absolutely delectable. *chef's kiss*

I cannot even begin to guess at what in blazes this sentence is trying to say or the thought processes that must occur in order for it to come into existence. Regardless, you either just ask a Cast Member for directions or look at a map (and hopefully you have common sense enough to be able to use the giant 180 foot tall geosphere to orient you). No one is expecting anyone to whip out their compass or have an innate connection with the magnetic fields of the Earth. That's what maps, signage, and Cast Members are for. I'm sure it didn't even occur to the park planners that there would be random knuckleheads who... just automatically assume they're facing north every time they ever enter any theme park, I guess? That's as much I've been able to surmise at what you're trying to get at.

He or She was saying the eastern and western sides of the park.

I agree with them it is confusing. They should have called it left and right or some other less confusing name. No one cares what the directions are from the sky.
Y'all know that compass directions are used for navigation on the land, right? Like it's not some kind of magical sky code. Please tell me you know that. If someone tells you to go down I-4 West or something you don't just start foaming at the mouth and shut down because your brain has entered an impassable logic paradox, you read the damn road signs and get on I-4 West.
