That was just a rumorif they remove the hat the Chinese theater has to go also it belongs to MGM
where was that supposed to be?

Hangs head in shame.
If I'm right, the hat would have been an"exhibit" space, separate to the park entrance, which would have been where it still is.For shame, Martin! That would be a neat entrance to the park...

And ironic should this be actually where it ends up!Ah. Still would be interesting...

I have never heard that rumor and it makes no sense anyway considering that MGM's park name lisence ended in 2008 but the hat was built in 2001 7 whole years before that. The point cannot be made enough that the hat was purely built to act as a marketing centerpiece for the 100 Years of Magic celebration and as with the Epcot Wand designed specifically for the Millenium, Disney decided to leave it after the celebration ended due to lack of demolition funds. That's all there is to it all the contracts/theater ownership conspiracy theories are just internet BS that apparently Disney has adopted as a PR talking point much like sinkholes. That was just a rumor
Leave it to Disney to have already had the marketing logo designed.
Does this mean we aren't getting an Ultimate Tribute to the BAH?I'm not sure.... but it's one item I've not really researched for obvious reasons!

Oh wow, the people featured on that "Make My Yard Disney" show that got a 10 foot Sorcerers Hat as part of their backyard makeover want to get rid of their hat. That's kinda sad.

That would be cool. I hope they put the little leafy one somewhere, too. It's so cute. There's a Rumor stating that the Earful Tower is going to be moved into "Disney Springs" once the renovation is over and, it will be Downtown Disneys "symbol".
